Well, I'm due for a new helmet..

so, this is what i'm gonna do..

1:I'm goin to be really anal and take a small set of digital scales!

that will sort out the weight part of the battle for me..

2: then I'm gonna annoy the daylights out of the staff and try on EVERY helmet in the whole store!

3: I'm NOT gonna read a single price tag or brand until I have a top 3 helmets sitting on the bench that fit the best.

4: Be happy that i just bought the the best helmet i could find!

5: Take steps to look after new helmet: like buying a bag.. (coz I'm sure it will end up sending me broke!)

6: Take steps to reduce the chance of me needing that new helmet.

Did i forget anything?

Dont buy the bag for the helmet

If you are nice about it and ask for one, you'll likely pick one up (especially if youre buying an expensive helmet) for free

Otherwise sounds fairly comprehensive. I genuinely believe that the helmet that will protect you best is largely the one that fits you best... So sounds like you are well on your way to a good choice :teehee:

Gforce open face car helmet with Snell compliance, can't remember exactly what it cost ~US$150? I like it, nice helmet to put on and wear, got some vents in it which makes it fairly cool.

Would buy again.

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
