i am about to buy a 91 mpsec gts-t and i was looking out for the red gt badge on the side of the car and it had the full silver one? the owner said after 92 they had the red badge, is this correct?

i believe the red badges signified turbo and blue badges signified non turbo.

Chances are it's just been replaced cos it was swiped or something.

i don't mean to take over your thread, i'm also curious about badge colour. I see many r33 series 1 skylines with a silver badge "S" badge on the front grill, and then I see some with the same shape "S" but it's coloured dark red, was this just a factory option, on my car it's silver

i think he is talking about the GT badges on the side of the car -

maybe the paint has just come off the badge over the years?

R32 turbo = red badge, NA = blue badge.

To the best of my knowledge it was part of the R33 type M package. My r33 also had a silver "S" on the grill, 4 door r33's have colour coded fins on the grill, not the black plastic ones like on the coupes aswell.

NTH: might help to post a pic, could even be an obscure aftermarket badge that the owner in japan fitted for all we know .
