Hey guys ..

I tried using the forum "wheel offset" thread but 56k modem is killin me with so many pages..

So does 19" rims fit a R34 GTT without mods..? If not what needs to be done?

Seems they fit GTR no issues but im worried about the GTT as its slightly different..

9.5 rear 8.5 front .. Reason why im asking is because Im gettin el cheapo rims and (axis hiro or Zenetti Kaotic both in black) need the 19" to get the right sizes/offsets..

So anyone help?

One of the forum members here have 20s on their 34GTT. Depending on how low ur car is..probably will require slight lipping of the guards.

For offsets:

Rear you should try around the +38 - +35 max

Fronts +35

Just a guesstimate...ultimately best way would be to try on the wheels...offsets and widths can be pretty tricky once u go bigger wheels...not to mention front brake caliper clearance..

Yeah I noticed your last Works S1's where +35.. sitting right in there .. Did you have rubbing issues or anything?

How often does lipping call for a repaint?? i.e only when they f**k it? or often?

Fronts should clear ok with the rims im looking at .. Going stealth I think Couldnt decide on the perfect wheel.

Doubt ill be able to test out the wheels but hey can always ask, do they test fit when new?

a lot of ppl confuse lipping and guard rolling or flaring. As I understand it, lipping is only flattening the inside of your guard lip, no paintwork will be affected or cracked. Guard flaring on the other hand will involve heating the panels and rolling them out...thts when u run the risk of paint cracking.

My Works were 18x8 +35 still had plenty of room to move! I'm now running 18x8.5 +30 at the fronts which is the most i'd recommend before you start needing camber adjustments or guard mods to fit.

i've got 9.5 at the back and 9.5 at the front with 265s front and 285s rear.... guards are lipped and the suspension is set at 2.5" less then factory height... the rears sit well inside the guards... fronts scrub only on absolute full lock at low speed but its nothing bad or annoying... rears are fine but the tires wear out quicker on one side which sux... apparently getting adjustable cambers will solve the problem or something like that

while im at it how much am i looking at for decent tyres 19" vrs 18" tyres and while im on the above point Alien.. Im pretty sure the rears have adjustable camber already.. I think the fronts dont.. Ask sydneykidd he told me .. so u might be set..

R34's in general ussally wear to one side anyway especally a GTR and especially the fronts

I'm not sure anymore man. I stopped buying used tyres. But if you are after good brand used tyres, I can give u a lead... an example is 18" Michellin Pilots for about 90-110 depending on the meat they have.

Yes, 19s will fit no problems, as long as no lowering has been done, otherwise you will have to either live with some scrubbing or go to a smaller tyre size on the front which is where your trouble will be(if the rear offset is correct) although watch out where you buy the rims cause some dealers make the sale and thats it, while others will try them on, even take them for a spin if your unsure once fitted making sure there all good before you hand over any cash.
