Group Buy # 4 Arospeed Adjustable Cam Gears, By Popular Demand, By Popular Demand

Recommended Posts

G'day guys.

I have had heaps of people PM me to do another group buy, so ill do it

These are from Import Car Parts Plus in the USA.

GB: START 16/02/07 ENDS 28/03/07

What i found was some Arospeed USA RB20/25/26 Cam Gears.

Here's all the info on them - make sure you read all of this cause it'll probably answer all your questions.

These camgears are good for a RB20, RB25, RB26.

To keep the price down, I need to order 10 sets thats 20pcs in total. (Come only in Blue & Red Colour)

How to get onto this great deal"

You can do direct deposit into my account then I'll express post them to you. Both ways are fully tracked so they won't go missing.

Express post cost an extra $10 nation wide.

Cost Price of the cam gears is $185 for the pair, or $92 for 1 pc.

So total cost for a pair will be $185 + $10 postage = $195

Yes prices have gone up due to high freight cost and aluminium prices

This gb will end in about a month or before if we can get the numbers.

Ordering To order a pair, just put a post up here or you can PM or send me an email at [email protected] with your details.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

Also this is a price break i was given if more than 10 pairs are ordered.

10 - 15 pairs $175

15 - 20 pairs $165

20+ Pairs $155

So who wants to start the list.

hmm i better put my hand up again as i just sold my last set to a friend to help him out of a tight spot.

so put me down for a pair for an rb20 in blue thanks.

oh and i thought id also mention i brought in group buy number 2 and id have to say its a very well run GB and a top product. i ohnesty couldnt belive the quality of the cam gears them selves. they are like a quarter of the price of jap branded ones too.

and as a quick reference

RB26 can have 2 wheels inlet exhaust

RB25 only needs exhaust

RB20 can have 2 inllet and exhaust.

i bought two cam gears in the last GB and they are top quality and especially for the price!

just make sure if ure adjusting them urself that the R (retard) and A (advance) are actually opposite to the way they are marked. nearly got caught out! they dont show u how many degrees retarded or advanced it is but tell u which way u need to move them to make it advanced or retarded.

    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
    • Yes, well. Mine are less than half that. ARBs are not set to "dumb" either.
    • I would hope. But, we all know even the best companies have an issue sporadically.
