dangerous_daveo
Well hard springs stop roll, but they also stop everything else from working properly. The shock controls the spring, so thats the tricky (and expencive) bit... If you have hard springs you cant make a shock to control the spring properly. So if you want to stop roll, get big anti roll bars. I have a solid 30mm on the front of my cef, and I really think its over kill, I feel sometimes the front is just too solid. So I would just go the whiteline stuff. If what people keep going on about with drift, the best set up should be a proper track set up (as in to have as much grip as posible) just with stiffer antisway bars with a bias to the rear. That way the car is going to handle as best it can, and be the most balanced and predictable. But most of the drifters run really low, and stupid stiff springs. So like wat salad said is get custom rate spring and wat is the best rate ? Lots of Japs using 8 in the front and 6 in the back. How about Cusco adjustable sway bar cause i have them in my garage. Will S13 sway bar fit on the R32 4 Door ? Also wat is "BIAS" ? is the pineapple really help a lot ? If i want the good Suspension setup do i get whole suspension package like front top n bottom arms adjustable , castor rods, tie rods , tie rod ends, tie rod spacer and etc ? Thank u very much for the advice mate. salad
^^^ Agreed EDIT: agreeing with dangerous_daveo, most drifters just follow what ever the japs do and think its sick. And most are cheap as anything so just get the cheapest coilovers they can cos lets face it, coilovers are coilovers aren't they? salad
I'm using Bilstein B6 shocks, converted to coilovers with Eibach springs. Rears have a better piston than the B6 though Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/157480-what-suspension-setup-body-parts-n-exhaust-do-you-use-on-your-car/page/3/#findComment-2946584 Share on other sites

Halo a
i got another Q' which is out of the topic will the RB25det gear box fit into RB20DET engine ? huddy
i've got the ISC's with 10kg front springs (damper on 16/32) and 8kg rear springs (damper on 18/32) - also whiteline 27mm blade adjustable front swaybar set to medium and 22mm blade adjustable rear swaybar set to hard. i have no understeer - but front tyres - falken azenis rt215 - 215/45/17 on 8" rim does help. i am going to try a softer rear spring ( 6kg) to test to gain more grip **also adjustable rear camber arms and toe arms are already in use. Resin
also look at getting a rear subframe alignment kit, sk recomended that to me and so far i really like it. It takes the sloppy ness out of the rear end, ...i will let u know how it feels on the track after sat. oh and huddy what length endlinks do u have on the front swaybar? ...55mm centre of bolt hole to centre of bolt hole? are u able to get it on the hardest setting? ......i just got 75mm ones which now allow this .....quite a bit different. Hella Flush
silkroad section rma8 are japanese yes google for reviews on them... widely popular in japan, usa and hawaii... several well known professional drifters in aus use these also or have used these Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/157480-what-suspension-setup-body-parts-n-exhaust-do-you-use-on-your-car/page/3/#findComment-2948184 Share on other sites
salad
The rear shocks came out of a race car, I'm not too sure what piston they are. When I bought them I thought they were just the normal piston, guy told me after that they were a better piston. The Bilsteins usually have a normal spring seat that sits on a circlip in a groove. To convert to coilovers Bilstein sell a kit that includes a threaded sleeve (that sits on the circlip groove instead), lower spring seat, locking ring and upper spring seat adapter to use with standard strut tops. salad
Why the new cradle Huddy? Also, before you chuck the new one in, weld up the lower control arm mounts, apparently they break off a fair bit with track use and high grip tyres. Wouldn't be surprised as mine broke with just Antyres.... Which is what I have. I'll grab some photos tomorrow. But the best bang for buck (as in spending less than $8-10k which would be a semi race shock...) is the Sydney Kid suspension group buy, which is listed in the group buy section in the for-sale forums. And what I mean by playing with the 'bias' of the sway bars is just making them harder or softer to suit. Say drift you might want the rear a bit harder so the rear kicks out easier.
