Hey guys,

Ive been asked by the WRX Club to see if there is anyone who might be able to assisst as back-up recovery for the next track day at Phillip Island on Sat March 31.

Stephen Dean has already kindly offered his services for the day, but in case there are multiple incidences they are hoping to have a second car there on the day.

Its such a big track and in the spirit of giving drivers as much time driving as possible, they are looking for help with this one.

Anyone who might be able to help out, can you post here, or email Lyn at [email protected]

Also, if anyone else wants to assisst with flagging, etc on the day - please email Lyn as above.

Thanks guys and girls,

:(

You'll be provided with a handy Russian recovery vehicle with lights and stickers too.

B - I'll be there for this, with both cars - so will help instruct volunteers as well as cheat.

Essentially you park just off the track behind the barriers at a convenient location (if we can get three vehicles then it would most likely be pit exit, Honda and Hayshed) and if you are lucky, the most you will have to do is pickup and deliver the flaggies/equipment during the day. What normally happens is that if a car goes off or stops for any reason, then they are towed by one of the recovery vehicles either back on to the track if they can recover to the pits under their own power, or are towed back to the pits if they can't.

I'll be there with the Navara, but I'd be lucky to break three minutes around the track in it, so having a few extra helpers would be very good.

Want to get close to the track?

Want to get great views?

Want to be right there amoungst the action?

If you answered YES to any of the above, then you want to help out with flagging on the 31st.

If you are interested in helping out, please email Lyn at [email protected]

How are you getting both cars down to the island James?

Do you need a second driver?

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
