seeing as we dont have a "handling" forum i'll ask it in here...

i didnt know i had adjustable shocks til i went to see troy all those many months ago in regards to getting a pod filter to which he informed me it had... i knew the fronts were so back then i checked the rears and didnt see a dial like the fronts had so thought they must be stock.

now 2 weeks ago when i went and got those GTR guards mike told me the rears have a dial on them which u use to adjust it... i checked it then and yes they do... they have the word "Potenza" on them... now i only thought they made tyres? dunlops init?

also i started turning the dial towards the "hard" direction and i dont know how far im meant to go cause it made like 10 clicks... should i keep going? :D

well they didnt go much further... so i would assume thats as hard as they get... will take it for a spin and see if it makes a diff...

btw would have the fronts softer than the rears cause understeer? cause i get a lot of that.

I've got HKS 'adjustables' in my 32, but how do I adjust them? I haven't got a dial. The best I can figure is I need to hold the bottom part steady, and twist the top.

The guy at the yard told me they were adjustable. They're hard as anything and I want to soften them up a little for road use.

See pic. sorry for the quality of the pic...

Any help appreciated...

They look like stockers... aren't all HKS one purple topped?

and nark, soft front / hard rear promotes oversteer (i think). By having the front softer it allows the front to 'dig' when you turn thereby giving more bite. The hard rear then comes around and you're looking back at last week :P.

I think so... better check with someone who actually knows... i'm just speculating. I just thought about it the other way around and i have reasoned that this could promote oversteer too...

Ahh, like Austin Powers i think i've gone cross eyed. lol

    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
    • Hey all. I’m looking on replacing my speed sensor on my R33 GTR. Will the center differential need to be drained, and if so, the center diff uses ATF fluid D? I found information on the transmission, front diff and rear diff. Can’t find a for sure answer for the center diff. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
