Note that all of the above assumes;

1. Standard Nissan clearances

2. Oil cooler (where necessary)

3. Improved oil control in the sump (where necessary) including wings, baffles, one way doors etc

4. External oil return from cylinder head to sump on all circuit/drift cars and drag cars with non standard oil pumps

5. Hydraulic followers in RB20/25's. if changed to solid followers then use RB26 restrictor as above

6. Castrol Edge 10W60 (or equivalent)\

7. Improved oil flow in the cylinder head return galleries through the block.

8. Refer previous posts in this thread

;) cheers :laugh:

PS; This guide is for what ever cylinder head you use, the block is irrelevant. Whether you use an RB20/23/24/25/26/27/28/30 bottom end is doesn't matter when it comes to restrictor sizes. It's all about what oil pump you use, what cylinder head and what you use the car for.

Here a table from Sydneykid for picking what restrictors u need ,

Pm sent as well

Thanks bud... I purely went off what Matt said; but with this table I think everyone will be able to see for themselves what is required.

sky30; status updated...

I will call Matt sometime today and ask if he can do the cheaper price for the 4 sets already paid for... this will move things along faster.

I called for Matt yesterday afternoon but he was off sick; have left a message for a call-back today and it should be all good!

Update; all the crank collars have been paid for and will be sent out (to me) by the end of the week; I'll ship them all off as soon as they arrive. FYI Matt from NZ is an awesome guy to deal with; honest and to the point - so if you need anything from NZ; go through him >_<

Hey all,

As far as I was told, Matt had sent them off yesterday. They had to get the 1mm restrictors machined up as they had run out at their shop.

Thanks

Stan

hey im very interested cos i will be needing thse for my rb25/30 combo, just wondering if this buy is still going and if you could pm me the payment details. im after one crank collar and 2 restricotrs at 1.5mm possibly 1.2mm will get back to you on that one

Just received a call from DHL; the collars have been sitting in a holding facility for the last week! Apparently (truth level of this unknown) the address was listed as 39 and not 59!!! How bloody nice of them to call me after a week~

Anyways, just letting you all know that they will arrive tomorrow and I will be shipping them out to you on Friday :cheers: Happy Times!

received mine today, thanks stan. Looks good, but no grub screw(or hole)? I understand its not essential, just for safety, btw do you know how much interference fit these are supposed to have?

Hey Adrian;

The grub screw should be in the packet; I personally checked all of them before sending out :rofl: it's a tiny little black thing - perhaps check that it didn't fall out into the tough bag?

Also; there's no hole in the collar because the grub screw is really an "optional" item that not all places choose to use. As such; no pre-machined hole is drilled for it. This is what I've been told by Matt any ways...

Thanks

S

hey thanx stan every thing turned up undamaged and very well paked i may add had all the coerrect size parts and grub screw so thanx alot ay this was a great but that saved me a few dollars. thanx again

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
