I've had quite a few problems posting the last week, however was still able to post up until today.

When I log in (which I've only been able to since this afternoon, since this started at lunch today) I cannot click on any thread, when I do I continually get this error:

IPS.jpg

If I can get into a thread and click reply I get the same page, however if I click New Topic I can get into the posting window.

Revhead has checked my account has told me he doesn't see anything wrong with it.

Here are a few screen prints of my page with the account difference's which I'm not sure if they are effecting anything? These only started today, (Queued Topics ect).

As highlighted red, main window difference when logged in as "Nismo_Boy" I have never seen these extra box's before

Main Queensland window, again red highlighted area – ticks? WTF.

Now, the below photo are how I see everything on SAU with this account, everything normal. I can post and view threads fine.

Things I have done:

  • Up dates, anti virus and anti spy wear and have run both programs.
  • Clean my cache, everything ect
  • Defrag? Lol seemed liked a good idea at the time

I even did a system restore to a past date.

Any help, or if someone can look into my account "Nismo_Boy" would be appreciated as I would obviously like to be posting under that one.

Zaffa, what exactly? everything? Part of it?

Nismo - something is wrong in the coding somewhere. Something is a miss, nfi what though.

You arew part of "MEMBERS" Usergroup, but the "queued topics" is only something a moderator will be able to see.

So its going to be a Christian/Shan/Andrew fix this one without a doubt.

Its nothing that Marc will be able to see/fix by playing around with the access as its in the backend, which i've seen that he has tried to fix by changing stuff.. which has not worked!

Thanks Prank an R31Nismoid. Is there anyway to "unlock" my account, or is it apart of the hosting, thus once that is fixed, my account will be fixed?

Josh.

Hi Josh,

Its not account specific, its database related.

Christian

Ye, as C has said... its just how it is.

I was getting IPS errors a bit aswell, although its died down and have not seen one for days.

Your account should be working, albeit not quite correctly, can you give posting another shot?

Cheers - Ash

the same has been happeneing to me on my normal account WazR32GTSt

i PM'd PranK but no response, and i can't even open threads in the meantime..

i can however if i log off my old account, or use this account that i just created, but you get the point

can someone help a brother out?

I think Prank will be tied up with the new baby, which is understandable!

Still no luck with my old account working yet, I log in from time to time, but same issue and still can't open threads. I can send and receive PM's though.

yeah its weird, i can send and recieve PM's too, and i can open the different sections, just not threads

the weirdest thing is that if i log out, i can read threads again, but then i cannot post obviously..

anyway, i understand PranK has been busy, as we all are, so i will wait patiently :P

Christian is the one to fix this, is goes above basic Admin level.

Christian also has a newborn at home.

Please understand this situation, as SAU isnt exactly a priority right about now

    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
