Aluminum Sheet In Sydney

I spent the day developing a cardboard outline for an airbox to fit the Apexi intakes on my GTR. Next step is to get some aluminum sheet to start making the real thing. Any suggestions on where I can find some good quality / reasonabley price sheet aluminum? (yes that is the American spelling and you would laugh at my pronunciation of the word.)

try bunnings or the local hardware store.

i got a 300*900*0.5 for about $15

I checked out that alloy at bunnings, 0.5 is extremely flexible and not something i would use for the air box. (unless you have something that can put ridges in it to stiffen it up)

ive been pricing up alloy sheets (2400x1200 x2.5) and they are over $200

check your local metal land and see if you can get half sheets of thinner material

Try some local alloy fabrication shops, its still not heaps cheap, but saves you buying a whole sheet, and they can fold/guillotine it for you.

yeah i bought some with the intention of using it but ended up using it for a uni project.

i mite try get some off cuts of stainless steel or something

if i can get it cheaper next time i'll go there instead.
