Fuel Line Replacement

Hey all,

Just wondering if someone out there could give me a bit of guidance on what to look for when it comes to replacing fuel lines and how to tell if they need replacing apart from the obvious like cracks, old looking etc ive noticed that most of the fuel lines in the engine bay are covered with black sleeves.

Is there any other lines that i should check for deterioration that possibly mite need replacing apart from the engine bay? How hard would they be to replace?

And info would be great.

Thanks in advance :(

Its not hard to change at all, just make sure you get all new hose clamps and EFI fuel hose and not carby fuel hose. Also i think it's 8mm some one correct me if iam wrong.

Also when you change them put the black sleeves back on as well.

hope this helps

IF the fuel hose is hard, it can't hurt to replace it.

I had trouble getting my fuel filter off (without spilling blood - precious blood). The lines were hardened onto the filter nipple. I've got a new tool now that could probably do it, but I just slit the line with a knife, and replaced it.

It's so nice having a new line. It's just so luscious and soft, and it slips over the fuel filter so easily. Makes changing a breeze.

If the lines dont' look too bad, i'd leave them. I'd change them if they are affecting what you need to do e.g. the lines to the fuel fitler.
