Well guys... I know this is a hard question... but someone had to ask it...

Well, here it is.... in your personal opinion, and only based on looks... which is your favourite and why (please provide at least 3 reasons).??

I'll start....

My favourite is a R33 - nice... IMO, the R32 is way too old and boxy looking, the R34 too bulky and boxy looking, the R35 too fat space-shipey...whereas the R33 is class.... nice curves, elegant looking and really has a timeless look to it... put a nice kit and some mods on a R33 - lookwise, it is king of the road no doubt.....

Thanks guys.... this is just for a discussion, no meant to offend anyone and their beasts... all Skylines are great!!!

You kidding right?

The 33 has to be the ugliest skyline they ever released!

No offence to the 33 owners

but IMO the 32 (GTR) 34 GTT and GTR have to be the sexiest machines on the rd.. The styling and body shapes are awesome .. the 34 is a little on the short side however makes up for it in power and shape... the r32 has an awesome ass end and the front isnt too bad either... each to there own but I would put the 32 GTR as sexiest on ever made.. its close tho

If I had to pick a SAU member .. Turko I think is name is .. his 32 GTR is "off tap" is the only way to discribe it!

The v35 IMO will never be a real skyline .. its a cruiser nothing more.. for the older man .. more refined 350z cross maxima look, sexi as tho!

oh come on....saying R33 is the ugliest skyline ever is offensive evenn if you didn't mean offense.....its just like saying your car is the ugliest piece of shit ever then saying no offence, but you are going to be offended regardless, even if you don't say anything.

Another uselss thread that's gonna end up in arguments about random things.

funny how this thread is concentrating on only 4 generations of skylines.

you are aware that the 32 was the 8th generation arent you?

i like those ones.

but from the models you listed, 32 and 34.

the 33 really isnt my cup of tea, but i wouldnt say its ugly.

Come on guys, I really want this thread to be an informative one...

I mean, lets share our pasions for our skylines... ok, so so far, two people have said R32... and one (which is me) believes in the R33 - ok, let's go on.... pictures would be nice too!

Thanks all

R32 / R34 are both winners in my eyes.

They seem to be built from the same sporting heritage and sport very similar styling cues. I still love the R33 too but it's very plain jane when pitted against the other two.

The 34 is indeed bulky, but when coupled with some fat rims & rubber it looks really tough and menacing on the road. Plus I guess there's also the rarity factor. At the moment there are R33's aplenty on the roads compared to R32's and R34's (well at least in my part of Sydney) and I'm sure that decreases their 'wow factor'.

Just my 2c

(I'm a 34 GTT driver btw eheh)

These threads are no longer informative..they have been done over n over to death and it all ends up in shit!

Its like creating a thread and asking....who's wife do you think looks the best in terms of looks, yours, mine or Dans?? :D

Do a search.

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
