Sorry mate, i always thought the rear wing is meant for high speed stability isn't it? Correct me if possible, when the GT Wing is set high up is more for Track high speed runs and for drag is is the opposite to have less resistance for the 1/4 mile. I prefer the low type like SARD or SIGNAL wing which is close to the GTT height. Appreciate feedback on their GT Wing stability...Cheers!

what kit is that on the white gtt in the attached pic?

im not sure about this one but the front is defiently veilside, not sure about the side skirts (N style rear bar i believe)

i would highly suggest staying away from veilside when it comes to r34s.

Hi Guys

Here is the all rounder look of the car. The front is different than the shark nose like what you posted. Plan to change to CF bonnet of the GTR type then i will get a lip in between the bonnet and the front bumper. Now i think it look better with a GT wing and probably another set of wheels.

hey thats nice, if you sprayed the lil lip like black or somthing or coated it in a c.f sticker would look pretty sweet...

I really like those skirts and the rear bar is nice too .. would look sweet with another front car.. do luck or impul or somthing

omg dude... that rear bar... i'm in loveeeee!!!

the side skirts are nice too.

Thanks Guys...for the wonderful comments.

I just love the overall kit, espescially the front & rear. But the main Looker is the rear which im trying to get the Top Secret diffuser to match it together. The lip or bottom lining is currently been sprayed matt black all round. Easier to maintain should there be any scratches or gets dirty. One thing for sure it is very low low low....Meantime a Top Secret GTR Dry Carbon bonnet is going in soon. Had to do something to the upper lip to suit the GTR bonnet and also my set of wheels (look kinda plain).

One thing i notice on the highway nowadays is the car feels really planted and stability has improve tremendously. Steering felt much heavier too. The front downforce is so useful that i don't require a canard.

Hope to see more styling mods from everyone. Will post more pics later...Cheers!

Since this is the "R34 Bodykit" thread, I will post my question here instead of starting a new thread.

Does anyone know where I can get a TOP SECRET style front bar and a pair of IMPUL side skirts in Sydney? (I dont mind copies and these are for my gtt)

A recommended workshop to properly install them? preferably on the north shore.

I have tried both SRS Auto and GT Autostyle, they were very slow on reply and seemed not too keen to do business.

Cheers

but they are relatively shithouse - if you buy from them get them to fit it

Hi Alien

What front bar are you using, is it Do-Luck? Got a bigger picture to look at? Look real mean in Black. The only thing about Do-luck is trying to get a lip when using a GTR bonnet. I'm still trying to source a lip for mine atm cos my Top Secret GTR bonnet is going in soon.

The funny thing is they don't have a hoodlock bracket so it need a bonnet clip lock instead. Sigh...

hey mate

thanks, afterall the car is meant to look "EVL" hehe (the plates)... ummm yeah its a nice front bar - It is IMPUL and i'm glad it looks good in black coz i've seen it on a silver R34 and it looks pretty plain. The bloke that did the spray did an absolutely amazing job. He put in a lot of pearl - more then in the stock paint so it looks really schmick! What rear bar is that on ur 34 - custom made?

Yeah they would be my last resort for all the negative comments about them on this forum alone.

Need a more reliable place to supply and fit. painting not necessary though.

cheers

Hi Alien

Great Pics mate!! Black really fits the Impul front bar. Seen white colour but look plain too. For me was the opposite as i got mine 2nd hand which was previously black in colour. Somehow the lines didn't come out in that colour. Btw this is a complete veilside kit (Front, side & rear). I just played around with the black matt colour in certain parts so that the lines would show more prominently plus too much white can make everything loong humongous. Plus it would be an easy fix ($5 can spray) should i scratch it over speedhumps.

Going away on a trip for a week, hope to fit the CF bonnet after that. Post more pics ya....

Regards everyone...Cheers!

    • Yep, totally get that. However hooking in for Generator back up is only a few hundred bucks for the wiring. You could put a couple of those in (for different circuits explicitly) and run a couple of baby generators. Bonus, you can balance them across different circuits, and now have backups in your backup. I'm looking at buying places that won't even have water etc, and I don't mind the idea of getting off the electric grid either, even with everything you've said. This country already has enough power outages that even the mains grid isn't that reliable anymore. I do agree though on spending a bit more to get better gear, and to add some extra redundancy in to the system too.
    • You can set hard reserves on your battery system, and it can't be discharged past that.
    • That sounds like an excellent idea. But total self-sufficiency means exactly that. You have no-one else to blame when your system faults out and you have no power for a week or two while it gets fixed. You'd have to go the whole hog and get a diesel genny and all the switchover gear, to get you through such times. And, despite the fact that over 20 years, my system has been pretty reliable**, I have seen so many inverter explosions (or less dramatic deaths), panel and roof JB fires, and so on, over that time, to know that the stuff is the same as any other bulk Chinese manufactured stuff. The failure rate is well above zero - both on the equipment and on behalf of the meth addled installation labour force. And then..... warranty and means of redress against the supplier you bought the gear from. Best I can tell is that only a handful of solar companies are still around within 5 years of starting their advertising pitch. They disappear and phoenix like crazy. So, as per 1st paragraph, I suspect the only way to is go balls deep and spend maybe 2-3 times as much as you might think, so that you have every base covered. Plus, know and understand your gear intimately, so you can diagnose problems, sort them out yourself, etc, etc. Plus, probably have to consider upgrading various parts as the years pass, to maintain compatibility with newer stuff, performance and reliability, etc, etc. Whereas, remaining attached to the grid has an ongoing cost that keeps going up even if you use bugger all power from it. But it does provide the fallback in case of the worst case with your own gear. You either pay up front or as you go, I suspect.
    • Add more solar panels to the array. Call the electricity company and tell them you're moving out... Live off grid electric wise
