Lift Kits

A friend of mine owns a VN commodore wagon with a 2 inch lift kit and 75 series tyres. He can take it 4WD'ing up any beach.

Now he's looking at buying a Stagea and doing the same mod. (each to their own)

To do this he would need to put on 15 inch rims. So the questions are:

Do 15 inch rims clear the brake calipers?

Is there a lift kit available?

Will it put the drive shaft uni's out of alignment and wear them out prematurely?

Do RS fours have LSD as standard?

No lsd...i found that out going up a driveway today

If you find some driveshafts that bolt in possibly that are slightly longer, or get your shafts extended it might work

Lift kit?

Get some custom coilovers

with long shockbodies.....and lift away

dont forget front adn rear camber arms

as well as toe arms

your tension rods would no longer be adequate either

I thought the std rim size was 16"?

at least for the 4WD models.

Make sure you get pics if he does lift this thing up, it would be fantastic to see. Not to mention how much fun it would be to scare the crap out of Holden Cross8 and Adventura owners

Yeah the manual states that there was 3 different designs of 16" rims and 1 design of 15" rims available, I bouhgt Robs 15" stockers off him and they fit nicely, gives mine a very plain look to it, which is good :w00t:

i doubt the attessa 4wd would like constant 4 wheel running considering its only meant to operate for minimal periods of time (like 1% of all driving), so going up a beach using all 4 wheels will heat up the attessa fluid very very much and result in burnt out clutch packs in no time
