out of those three, id goto the one in dandenong.

Another panel thread? For gods sake.

Think about it... to do the work it costs money. You drive an R34, yet you wont spend good money for excellent work? Or wont your parents give you anymore money?

And you wanna built a 300rwkw street weapon... riiiight.

Sure you could get it done for $200 on the cheap, maybe even $150 if your really really lucky... but the work will be crap.

Crying over $300 is ridiculous.

Most places will be $250-$350 for a good quality work.

DT Panel in Springvale

cheers ill give em a call thanks

Mate $300-s not that bad. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, and that's true for every thing. Go get some quotes and pick the best, . Good luck with it all. Your not having a good time with the 34 are ya.

Do it yourself if you are worried about the money! You will get what you pay for unless you have a mate who is skilled.

Google "repair paint fibreglass", go to Bunnings and do it yourself. I am about as far from DIY as they come but still take challenges on.

didn't even know your car was on the road andru, i thought it was getting custom this, custom that...

got any pics of it? has it had all the work done to it yet?

im still gettn custom this and that, but i cant resist driving my baby. unfourtunetly having a big custom bar is just asking for trouble lol.

we should meet up sometime daniel, love to see ur East Bear Bar!!!! heard nothing but praise

Sorry mate i have to agree with ash!!

I do some work with fiberglass myself and to repair what are cracks etc you have to cut back all the "dead glass" or broken parts and then re make the section that has been cut back.. you also have to ensure that you get it flush with other areas of the bar which havent been touched etc.. so if someone is offering to do it for 300 mate u got a good deal...

Plus you then have to paint the bar which also again requires a lot of work to make it look good :)

Yep lot of work to fix, I'm in the same boat after read ending Bass's car last year. I'll be fixing mine myself (with a friends help) shortly

Work involved -

Sand back whole bar

Repair cracks/dents/chips

High fill and sand back bar whole bar again to get smooth

Under coat whole bar

Spray bar and possibly blend paint into other pannels

Sounds to me like a good $300 work. Don't be a tight ass, you drive a 34 not a Datsun sunny.

    • I’m here solo don’t have any hands to help so haven’t hit it with a timing light
    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
