Translation Frustration :) - Please Help Me!

Recommended Posts

:(

ok, I have the japanese instructions for a cusco oil catch tank for BNR32 GTR. it's not the normal one though and needs just a little care taken to make sure I connect everything the right way. Sadly for me the instructions are for a large part in Kanji. I have zero kanji knowledge and only average 'kana so I'm sure you guys can I appreciate I have nfi what I'm doing. :)

If one of you kind gentleman could translate the instruction page (it's not very big only 4 steps!) I would be forever in your debt. I really need the contents translated and then the instructions underneath (steps 1-4). I've included the second page too if it's any help (diagram page).

Thank you so much guys. :(

yeah, you kind of have to save it, then open. they were TIF files, but SAU wont let me upload TIF, so I changed them to a JPEG, but they still retain the make-up of a TIF file when uploaded for some reason. if you click on it and chose save it should work.

Wow, it’s 3 litres big

Contents:

1 Tank

2 Steel bracket (black)

3 M6X20 Bolt 1

4 M5X15 Bolt 1

5 Braided hose 0.9m 1

6 Hose clamp (big) 1

7 Hose clamp (small) 1

8 Aluminium 16mm stopper 1

9 Cap 1

10 Tie clip 1

11 Aluminium joint (not needed when using on GTR. GTS only)

If your using a battery bigger than 38B19R then the kit won’t fit.

Step 1: (looking at figure 1)

Put the tank in front of the battery. Use the battery bracket (and bolt) to fasten one side of the tank. The under side of the upper support of the front fender and the supplied bracket also go together here somehow and attach to the tank. If it’s a tight fit you may have to move the battery back a bit.

Step 2. (Figure 2)

Remove hose ‘A’ in the figure (intake pipe) and put in the stopper, fastening it with the tie clip. Then put the hose back on as it was before. (The GTS is different, but that ain’t gonna bother you hey)

Step 3: (figure 2)

Remove hose ‘B’, and put the cap on the pipe on the intake manifold and fasten it with the small hose clamp. The B hose is not used. (Again, GTS is different)

Step 4: Put the big hose clamps on the braided hose and then attach one end to the blowby pipe on the tappet cover and the other to the catch tank and your done.

domo arigato gozaimasu!

and poor rezz, I can picture you furiously working through the nasty bits of kanji only to get online and find yourself defeated. :D I appreciated your unseen efforts too :) you can still post 'em if you want.

that helps a lot. mainly to do with the placement of the bungs etc. I wasn't 100% sure if the intake pipe was supposed to be blocked or what the dealy was.

Yeah, it's a big boy! 3L but at many events now you need a catch can as big as your engine.

an update for the generous J-forum guys.

can was installed yesterday. typical japanese parts took all of 20 mins to install and everything went in easily. knowing which bung went where was a big bonus. thanks guys  looks good, and should my engine completely implode it will be able to run 1 full revolution before filling the catch tank full.

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
