Slotted And Drilled Rotors

Im painting my cailiper so i have taken my rotors of aswell to paint the center. My rotor's are slotted and im thinking of getting them drilled as well while they are off the car, is this a good idea or will it make my rotors weak and also where is a good place that can do this.

drilling them is pretty much useless, with the added advantage that they will crack easier, your choice. The RDA rotors are the ones where they drill but only in the surface, so they cant crack.

I dont think you will find anyone willing to do this, as it is not legal I believe to do so.

Although you can buy from Mfr done this way thats a different situation, and quite a few Porches, Bentleys etc have them.

Your probably better off to upgrade the fluid and hoses and fit pads to suit your application from Race Brakes or someone that can give expert advice on this.

Upgrading my brake lines to braided lines will this increase the pedal pressure or just make them stronger, and are all braided lines ADR approved.

Standard brake lines expand slightly when you press down on the brake pedal. Braided line don't.

My understanding is that all braided line are not ADR approved.

braided lines must be clamped to be ADR approved

ABS centres in Adelaide will do braided lines ADR approved.

They might have the skyline brake/clutch lines on file, otherwise you need to bring in a sample (I had to do this on my RNN14).

ADR approved and they come with a tab specifying ADR approval at each end just in case anyone queries

do ADR braided brake lines that are coated as well to stop the stainless braid to cut through suspension parts it it may rub on. They have the ADR numbers stamped on the collars. If u did get them, its doubtful if regency would accept them anyway if u had an inspection done.

K&A motorsport can put slots on the rotors, or drill.
