Safc Din Pocket

Thought I'd undertake a little project to mount the SAFC above my headunit.

The aim is to make it look as standard as possible.

I'll update the first post as I go along, this is my progress so far.

1. Take measurements and mock up using cardboard

2. Ensure clearance with interior trim

3. Make sure SAFC actually fits

4. Transfer measurements onto plastic

5. Cut the plastic & trial fit using blu tac

6. Super glue the plastic bits together and again, trial fit.

7. Make a little stand for the SAFC using plastic - determine your angles and driver position. Make sure that there's enough space behind the stand to tuck the cable away.

8. Trial fit again - make sure the climate control doesnt hinder view.

9. Make a backing plate for the whole thing (kinda optional, but prevents stuff from falling back in). Ensure the hole is large enough for the harness plug to go in and out.

10.

*I have yet to decide on how to do the finish. Maybe a black plastic face plate? Spray paint it black?

*Pictures are out of order, I'll fix them up when I finish

*Keep mocking it up in the car - do it the first time and do it right
