Just got my splitfire coils (thanx slide) reading the instructions they recommend retune and colder plugs is this really required car has powerfc exhaust etc nothing major.

Was planning to install the coils tonight and hopefully see my tuner tommorrow to clean up an issue with a little knock right as she comes on boost when I am using the high boost setting

on the dualSBC I have fitted, was hoping the coils might reduce or eliminate the problem anyway, dont wanna pay someone to install the coils and tuner may not be able to fit it in if I get him to fit em and plugs and full tune

Are the splitfire mob just being overly careful with there instructions or is a full tune really required???

    • Learned a bit @PranK To add a twist to this take, I've done some further investigation and turns out I don't know if I even have coilovers. I have Mugen Showa on all corners, which appear to be struts / springs online. Someone may be able to correct me if I'm wrong.
    • Well, i've been told it's going to be in Poland around october - november. It should set off by the end of this month. Waiting for it to arrive is the easy part, searching for the right car, wake up in the middle of the night to see the photos and decide whether to bid or not - that was difficult
    • Thanks mate, i'll keep that in mind. Not sure though if the black carpet will fit grey interior. I'd prefer original Stagea set but if i fail to find one in another few weeks, i will probably come back to you. p.s. - is this original, licensed Nismo product?
