For all those who have been blind for the past 6 weeks or so. A groups of us are heading to the drags tonight at Willowbank near Ipswich. Generally we will be meeting at 6:30-6:45 and race till 9pm. Should get a good number of runs in so come along.

$28 gets you in to race and a passenger as well.

Not a bad turn up, Me, Mick,Slip, MRE, BOOSTMEISTER, Birty, Nismogirl and her quiet partner and a couple of others that I didn't see. Also a guy called Ken in an R34. I ran against him on my last run, I had him all the way then he blew past me about 40 meters from the line and did me by about 0.026. me 14.813 him 14.787. Mick's best was 14.167 so we are continuing our trend of a new personal best each new meet.

Anybody want some TEIN suspension ???? "NOT SUITABLE FOR DRAG"......13.8 Last night but 13.7 is my best so far. My mate in his 180 ran a 13.2 with much less power than me but he has excellant suspension for drag.

I am aiming for a 12 for Jamboree....

Thanks for everyone for turning up, sorry I was late and couldn't spend much time meeting you guys. Next time

Yeah I feel the same cam, but oh well, i love putting her through corners, it's the price we pay I guess.

Oh well, i'll be there next time though. I think I can at least get into the 14's even with the suspension though, just need a good launch. Although....a VG30 Turbo wouldn't hurt :uh-huh:

Yep swap ya my stock suspension for it :(

Cam just put the stockers on with a high profile tire with lower pressure :( that way its still street trim :)

I have Tein springs in my car its very stiff and i got 2.1 60ft's which i could easily better with a new clutch.

All thoes jap cars you seen run street legal slicks.

Thanks man, thats basically what I am going to do....

Stock springs and shocks

17" rims with either, NITTO 555R, Yokohama AVS Sport or AZENIS.

New single plate brass button clutch.

That should be good enough to get me into the 12's with pump fuel.

Willowbank Results

93 R33 SkyLine GTSt 2-Door Auto.

K&N Pod no Other Mods.

60ft 2.377

330ft 6.511

660ft 9.902

1000ft 12.863 @ 115.91 K.P.H

1/4 Mile 15.350 @146.10 K.P.H

For a StockSkyline Auto I am very happy with the times and can only improve with a better exhaust, 2 stage boost 6/12 and a front mount intercooler.

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
