Sandwich Plate On Top Of Remote Filter?

Have an earls remote oil filter, just bought a just jap sandwich plate for my sensors, can i just stick this on top of my remote oil filter or must i remove it and put the new plate on the block?

you probably can (depending on the design, and whether the edges will foul (hard to describe).

why would you want to though? doesn't your filter relocator have provision for sensors? if not, you'd be better drilling and tapping into that instead.

yes you can, but it wouldn't be hard to put the sandwich plate on the side of the block anyway. you only have to do it once remember. the closer the sensor is to the pump output the better really, but it cant be that big a difference if the lines are short
