i dunno what goo thing is is it sumfin to remove glue?

i do have metho but wont that cut the paint?

shit !!!!! hairdryer...no hairdryer i just chucked it in the bin... 2 weeks go

hot water?? more hot water and metho?

I wouldn't use metho mate, you can damage the paint over time doing that, happened to me after some annoying little s**t spray painted the back of my car with obscenities :D

Maybe just apply heat as suggested and perhaps that big kevs goo remover os something similar?

Eucalyptus oil

You can get it at the chemist and it won't affect the paint. Brilliant for removing just about anything sticky. Saturate some cotton wool and keep wiping. Turn the cotton wool every time it gets gummed up and use a new cotton ball if necessary.

By the time your finished you should have cleared your sinuses as well, hey presto, no more cold :D

yeah i used eucalyptus oil.. it aint coming off its as if its become laquered on.. nah methylated spirit didnt take it off maybe cause i onli dabbed abit onit but i will try the wd40 and the eucalpytus again

cheers guys

btw the glue has hardened.. are u sure it will soften up and come out?

it is no longer sticky everything is like rock hard sh*t....

lol

bit turps never goes astray

Yeh man I used turps on mine and wrecked the duco, my mistake was I was at work and someone had sprayed C**T in huge bright orange letters on the boot of my car, so like an idiot I wiped it off using too much turps and didn't really wash it off all that well... So I had to respray the whole boot :D MAKE SURE you wash it off well if you use turps!!!

mineral spirits will remove any glue residue/oil residue on paint.

Paint has been treated to withstand mineral spirits so there is no risk in using it.

mineral will remove oils off paint, including wax (if you applied any), so best to re-apply wax in the area which was covered in spirits.

Mineral spirits are a low cost version of body shop prep chemicals like Prepsol or Acrysol. They remove wax and other chemicals from the paint surface.

All are safe for cured automotive paint finishes.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
