Dan_J
i'm guessing not too much, the rear hubs shud bolt in all gud, you shud get a31/s13 cntrl arms pressed into the front hubs, the only thing dat i'm not too sure on is if the a31 rear half shafts fit in the hubs i no theres been at least 1 cefiro wit r33 hubs, but i've seen at least 2 cefiro drivers sell their 5 stud conversion kit from a r33 GL Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/167924-r33gtst-5-stud-hubs-and-brakes-do-they-bolt-on/#findComment-3106078 Share on other sites
A31cefiro
R33 stuff will work in the rear, well, just use the hubs, the discs and calipers will be different. with the front, you can use the calipers and rotors, but the rest will have to be S14/15 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/167924-r33gtst-5-stud-hubs-and-brakes-do-they-bolt-on/#findComment-3107152 Share on other sites

Cash31
You should be able to fit the R33 rear brake set up. I beleive they use a drum set up handbrake with the same drum diameter as the Cefiro one. Im unsure as to whether the S14/S15 rear brakes can be used as I dont know what handbrake set up they use. You can bolt up the twin piston calipers off the R33 if you use the corresponding discs. I have what I believe to be R33 rear hubs, but they wont bolt directly to the Cefiro. They have an extra lug on the backing plate which would need to be ground down in order to mount them. As for whether they have the same number of splines as the Cefiro half shafts, I am yet to find out. A31cefiro
ive tried rear R32 Disks and the diameter of the disk is bigger than the cefiros, so it wont fit. i just redrilled my stock cefiro disks, problem solved. the only way i can see to use full R33 rear end is changing hubs/disks/brakes and the part that everything bolts too (stubs?) Resin
ok just confirming so others know that THIS WORKS i used s14 front hubs and LCAS (although i want to change the S14 LCAS back to A31 = i will get to this later). Front r33 calipers and r33 discs. NEW brakelines as i didint like the idea of cutting the bajo bolt. Rear Everything was R33 HUbs, calipers and discs. and drum brake. Not sure what Cash31 was getting on about ...there is no extra lug that need chopping off. THe rear hubs & drum brake are exactly the same as the ceffy aprat from the nymber of studs. Oh and the way the rear suspension mounts to the hub. Ceffy has a stud and nut where as the r33 has a bolt which screws in. Basically u have to do a bit of fiddle with the rear drum to swap the ceffy handbrake cable over as the r33 is too long. But it all fits fine and dandy!. I also put new brake lines on the rear as the r33 a tad too short and the ceffy ones also dont fit because of the banjo bolt which puts them at a funny angle. BMC i upgraded to a bm 44 with 3 outlets on the same side so it was a straight swap to. (found this on an r30 at pic and payless of all places ....dont think it was original on the r30. Only cost me 25 bucks and it worked hahaha. have been driving around a few weeks now and all is good quite a simple upgrade in reality considerign how many things could be different but arent. One of friends with a 68 mustang was bloody jelous of how easy it was to do ....and really no major customisation of anything. ok now getting to the s14 LCA's these push the hubs another 10mm roughly further out. Now i know u can use the ceffy items which is what i would like to do because i cant put wide wheels on my car very well anymore with out rolling and flaring. ie my previous works s1s would now sit 15 mm from the guards not 5 like they use to. So why dont the hubs fit to the ceffy LCA's ? is the diameter of the bolts on the ball joint? too small? cheers Edited September 5, 2007 by Resin Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/167924-r33gtst-5-stud-hubs-and-brakes-do-they-bolt-on/#findComment-3329546 Share on other sites
Hella Flush
s14/r33 front uprights will mount on a31/s13 LCA's with r33 balljoints pressed in ($80 bucks at pedders for 2x brand new r33 balljoints... s14/r33 are the same) then the r33 brakes go straight on - on the front customer brake lines are required as cef is banjo where as r33 is a screw type brake line (i used r32 lines with an adaptor... as a temp fix... its too long but it works) rear - r32/r33 rear hubs slot into your uprights so you can retain your drum handbrake setup... rear calipers and rotors slot straight over... once again same dealio with the brake lines i cut the brake dust covers off also front and rear... Resin
cool thanks for the info regarding the r33/s14 ball joint stuff ...will do this soon although i just got a wheel alignment but ohwell. I find it tracks the road more than it used to ...better after wheel alignment but still more than it use to.
