R32 Computers

Does anyone know what the two computers underneath the parcel shelf in the R32 are?

Im guessing they are for the abs and the other is for the hicas?

I ask because i want to remove them.

The round one something to do with the aerial signal and the other one is the HICAS controller..... or ATTESSA, I forget.

Ah i'm pretty sure the round one is a amplifier for the rear speakers actually. Double check, look for Clarion (or some other major brand) written on it

im not talking about the clarion amp thing, im taking about the two large rectangular computers, im guessing cars without abs only have one.

Also forgot to say the car is a gtst

i'm almost certain that the rectangular one is the HICAS control unit. the round one is the standard amp.

Hey thanks for the reply but im not talking about the one on the drivers side or the clarion amp. I am talking about one identical to the hicas computer on the drivers side, but its on the passenger side.

I think only r32's with abs will have them can anyone check?

Yeah im leaning towards that. Heres a pic of them removed, they are laid down as if u were facing the car from the rear. The box with the indentation is from what i can gather a hicas computer.

It will be your abs module, in 4wd cars it is also the attessa module. You can see the little translucent hole for the fault code light in the top left of your pic.
