chasing $700.

This cooler is a good cooler at a good price.

core measures 600x300x76 and it has been professionally made.

End tanks are arranged as to suit the pipe arrangment with the most efficient piping route requiring only 1 hole be cut which is easy.

In and Out are on OPPOSITE sides and are 2 1/2 inch (suit skyline)

It uses a K&J Performance core which has PROVEN results.

My friend had it made up for him before he ran onto other financial difficulties. So i bought it of him for $700 to go on my ET Turbo project.

I now realize how hard it is to pipe this thing up to an ET (Long piping with lots of bends)

So therefor i want my money back.

Come on people. this is a very good cooler at a very good price.

IT DOES NOT INCLUDE PIPING.

This size is perfect for RB20DET Or RB25DET, and is the size most people opt for when going for good street power on a 2-2.5 ltr motor.

K&J cores are used by all the big intercooler fabricaters... and there are alot of people out there who love and swear by them (including myself). The same cooler form one of the big workshops would cost you well above this price!

The cooler is in BRISBANE and i can be contact any time on 0410 133 391.

A pic can be found at http://www.geocities.com/nismo_et_turbo/Img_0029.jpg

however this does not show the thickness of the cooler. (it is a nice thick cooler)

Intercooler is debatably one of the first serious upgrades you will do to your motor if your chasing DESCENT power.

WHEN YOU GET TO THE SITE IT WILL COME UP WITH PAGE NOT THERE.

CLICK INTO THE ADDRESS BAR (where http:// is written) SO THAT YOU CURSOR IS THERE AND PRESS ENTER. PIC SHOULD WORK THEN.. IT IS A GEOCITIES F**K UP.

Sorry mate. Price is firm. i have all the piping here to pipe it up to the pulsar as bought it all (cost an arm and a leg as its alloy mnrel bends). So i only need to get my mate to weld it up.. but i would really like to avoid such a long cooler tract.

But if it means i have to i will.. not prepared to loose money.

Got to go ppl.

CMON.. SOMEONE MUST WANT THIS COOLER - I HAVE ONE GENUINE INTERESTED... BUT HAS SINCE NOT GOT BACK TO ME CAUSE WAS ASKING HIS MATE.

PM ME WITH OFFERS IF YOU HAVE THEM (nothing stupid).. ALTHOGUH I AM NOT WILLING TO SWAY ON PRICE MUCH.

AND THE COOLER IS NOT A KIT OR DOES NOT COME WITH PIPING... I AM SUPRISED HOW MANY HALFWITS HAVE PM'D ME SAYING.. ILL TAKE IT IFF ITS GOT PIPING HOSES AND CLAMPS WITH IT.

YEH AS IF!!!!! WOULD BE AROUND 1200-1300 IF IT CAME WITH KIT

piping, hoses and clamps woulc very depending on what material used.

for mild steel budget maybe $200 for alloy maybe $350. It all depends on your pipe route too. and also the silicon hoses you use. You can go for high grade clamps with high grade silicon hoses and it costs you, but just the generic stuff works well enuff. Also depends on your friends :)

so yeh maybe take what i say as a general guide.. aot of the time you can utilise some of your stock stuff in way of hoses and clamps, even the piping up to the throttle body can be retained.

someone please take it..

at this stage it looks like im jst going to have to stick with the HUGE inlet tract on the ET turbo combines with this cooler.

****.

i got a BB T03 going on her as well.. its going to be lag city.

  • 1 month later...

Piping... hm... i did mine in 3mm alloy... all mandrel bent one piece piping no cut and weld job... all polished... cost me total fitted $110 bucks ha ha ha ha ha ha helps when you have three mandrel benders and unlimited alloy at work to play with not to mention a full polishing bay :)

    • It was roughly 3.5 hours.    car went in around 11:00 and I was done around 2:30 He did the initial runs, install the BC and then Nistune install and tune.  The best part was sitting in the lobby and hearing the skyline on full throttle at the dyno 😂😂
    • Glad it all went smooth. How long did the tuning process take?
    • Yeah that was kind of the same feedback my tuner gave me.  the boost tee is until I can sort out my plan for the electronic boost controller and what I’d get, where I’d mount the dash etc.  I’m happy with this until I can figure it out. Not a big fan of the A-pillar gauges. I’d like to get a clean install of the boost gauge - something digital like GFB.  Something like that might fit neatly where the ashtray is and look clean. I feel like replacing the OEM triple gauge is a bit extreme for a weekender like my skyline. And it’s not making crazy power to need all the additional sensors/gauges.
    • I'm about to swap my box to Tremec T56 Magnum F & initially thinking of re-using my DCS twin plate (can get it re centred for the bigger spline) but it's been called out the box will be noisy (rattle) as the clutch is unsprung.  So I'm doing as much research as possible. I'm not so worried about holding the power as I'll go the track version which on paper will hold the maybe 1000hp I make. It's the longevity I worry about. DCS told me they don't use a sprung centre as it's just something that can break. The uni clutch has a very complicated sprung centre. Any one had or heard about any issues with it failing? Thanks in advance.
    • Auto is at least 10% (from my real, actual experience with different torque converters and manual on the same setup) ~185rwkw at 11.6psi (peak!) is entirely what one would expect without a FMIC or anything else on the intake, it does bleed off towards the higher RPM so it's what, 9psi there? Note: There is nothing that can be done about this with a manual boost tee. If you want to hold it steady and gain more top end, well - You will need electronic boost control.....
