The Godzilla name came from Wheels magazine in 88 - 89 when the R32 was just out. It was on the front cover, and has stuck with Aussies ever since

A salesman at blackburn nissan told me a few days ago that they dont know if the new GT-R will make it to Australia. He said that they only sell a coupe of Z's a month and so they a worried that there isnt much of a market for a 120,000 + nissan. He said weighing up the cost of importing all the service parts and training ect against how many GT-Rs they may actually sell, may decrease the chances of the car ever making it to our shores through Nissan australia.

LoL i know Oscar ... it was a bit of tongue in cheek sarcasm.

But I was wondering if the article meant the worldwide fans and maybe some factions of Nissan had adopted the title in the project or it was the article writer beefing up an old media cliché'

My prediction > is the GTR will be scheduled here . Most that can afford it wont buy it and get a porche instead and we will all be importing them back here secondhand in 10 years from now...
