Hi i recently bought a r33 s2. i owned a BT1 Vl Turbo before that, tough car though.

any way

it came with a HKS F-Con V piggie back computer,

Hi flow turbo,

3" turbo back system

afc an old on single setting +-10,

front mount and that's all i know.

i had a look round the fuel lines and fuel rail but cant see anything interesting. don't know if fuel pump/s are done.

previous owner said it used to run 16 psi

I'm still getting my head around skylines, i have a lot to learn.

i have been browsing the forums but i cant find anywhere that tunes HKS in oz.

what kind of performance am i looking at getting. the car goes good on 7 psi but

i don't wont to boost it till i get it tuned and also i have to give the car some general maintenance Filters/oil

i also recently bought a GReddy Profec B boost controller. not in car yet.

Should i buy a APEXI S-AFC SUPER AIR FUEL CURVE CONTROLLER

what other cheap mods could i do to achieve reasonable power. 200rwkw would be nice

Any help appreciated. Thanks..

BD4s is the only official HKS Power Writer on the East Coast of Australia; XSpeed is the official HKS Power Writer on the West Coast. Anyone else claiming to be able to tune these units is most likely 1) borrowing the tuner / software from the two mentioned places or 2) using illegitimate hardware / software.

To actually become a tuner for HKS is a very involved process; it's one of the many reasons why the whole HKS Pro line of products is hardly mentioned anywhere.

On that note; if anyone has an ENGLISH copy of the manual for the V Pro; PM me :/

    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
    • Hey all. I’m looking on replacing my speed sensor on my R33 GTR. Will the center differential need to be drained, and if so, the center diff uses ATF fluid D? I found information on the transmission, front diff and rear diff. Can’t find a for sure answer for the center diff. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
