i was reading on a skyline mod page that swapping a stock gts25t intercooler with a r33 gtr intercooler was a good upgrade to performance and easy to do and doenst hurt the wallet as much, what are peoples thoughts on the matter and thinks or worthwile or any other ideas?

depends how much it costs...... 349 just jap intercooler kit may be a better deal though

Any front mount will require a fair bit of front bar modification..

I got the just jap kit 1/2 installed. It is a bit of friggin round but I think they all are.

Good thing is the jusjap kit comes with all piping.

If you are staying with stock turbo I highly recommend just the R34 SMIC.

FMIC is a lot of stuffing around!!

Otherwise I've heard people on here doing the install for $250 which is a bargain.

So if you want FMIC:

DIY - $350

JustJap + Install ~ $600-$700

Performance gain on stock turbo <10rwkw over R34GTT cooler

Unless you want the wank factor..

exactly what benl1981 said, except for one thing. there's no KW gain over the 34smic unless ur stock turbo is nearing 220rwkw.

wank factor plays a major role in the amount of front mounts you see around.

Unless you're planning to go for over 200kw I recommend a R34 GT-t side mount intercooler. Better, bigger intercooler and it's a direct bolt on fit.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
