OMG Joey :O:(

Thats such bad news....so glad you are ok tho

It is hard to drive these cars in the wet at times, I know I have been taking it very easy for that same reason..

Hope you get her fixed up soon :P

*hugs*

Jess

Thanks Jess.

I hope it dose not take long to fix it cause i feel lost not driving. I was supposed to drive to canberra this weekend for my uncles birthday but had to go with my parents :) .The boot is pushed in maybe about half a foot or so and the drivers side from the door back is buckled so im praying to god it wont take long. :(

unfortunate luck there Joeys - gotta be real careful in the wet with these cars!! Also decent tyres with good tread depth makes a world of difference. I minimise the amount I drive in the wet because mine are getting down a bit - been trying to find some rims in better nick but failing that will just have to bite the bullet and get new tyres.

that vid is great :)

R31's drift hard in the wet. especially with a locker :)

find myself wondering whether a 1.5 way in my car would be a good compromise between sideways and driveability.

My car got towed to Just Cars Assesment centre at Condell Park today for their final assesment :)

Did anyone see it?

It was a sad moment to see. I only hope it turns out as good as it once looked.

I'm sure it will dude! they can work wonders these days, it's just a waiting game now!!!

My car barely makes it out of the garage these days because I'm a little paranoid about getting hit again!

Hi all!

Just got word from Just Cars and the car will be getting towed today form their assesment centre at Condell Park to Senator Smash Repairs at Rooty Hill/Glendenning to be fixed. Spoke with them and should have the car back in a month or there abouts. Yeah!

Has anyone heard about this smash repair before?

Joe :)

No courtesy car for me, if it was an accident with another car involved and i was not at fault then yes one would be provided. In this case no no.

So i will be looking around for a cheep car. Sorta been looking for one so i don't have to drive mine every where to keep km's down. If anyone knows of one please PM me.

Hi all. Can someone answer me this question?

My car is getting repaired and i would asume that the battery has been disconected during te full tine of the repair. Will the computer loose it's memory in regards to the tune or not :D ? Will i have to get the car tuned again? :(

Joe

    • Yeah so when you turn key to IGN the fuel pump should run for a few seconds. If you find the fuel pump relay (and have a multimeter, and a second person) to can check the relay inputs.  One trigger pin should be either fully earthed  The other trigger pin should get 12v from the ECU for say 3 seconds when you turn key to IGN, and at all times that key is at START (note, I said this from memory, it may be the other way around, ie one pin always has IGN 12v and the earth has continuity to earth when you turn the key) One Pin should have a good battery voltage The last pin goes to the fuel pump + Also note that if the power to the relay is good, and the relay is working, it is worth checking the pump has a good earth too. There is a computer in the standard system that increases the earth resistance to slow down the pump when not required, pretty old school and it may have failed
    • All this talk about fuel and fancy ECUs, meanwhile my poor old R32 has neither.... When the ignition is turned on, should there be power running o the fuel pump constantly or just for the few seconds it usually takes to prime the pump? About to go have another look at it, have watched some YouTube vids on how to use a  multimeter and looked at some wiring diagrams but really have NFI what I'm looking for because electricity is invisible
    • Yuh....but weren't all the supertourers, except maybe the Audis, FWD? I don't recall any of the others being AWD.
    • They ran them in Oz Super Tourers too https://www.supertouringregister.com/register/vehicle/212/ (I'm so old I remember racing with Matthew Fox) They ran them in Oz Super Tourers too https://www.supertouringregister.com/register/vehicle/212/ (I'm so old I remember racing with Matthew Fox)
