i have a r32 4 door ride in KL, malaysia. Im currently undertaking this conversion. Basically i had to remove da whole rear panel, n replace it with a coupe rear panel. As for da boot lid, ermmm it doesnt aligned properly across da coupe bumper.

so far, there's heaps of knocking on da fenders both right n left.

My question, can i use a coupe lid? does it align properly? as sedan's lid, da rubber dat ensures water proof, is not properly align thus leaving a gap.

can someone explain what should i do??? or anybody had done it b4? pls advice? do i need a COUPE trunk?

dis whole process of rear conversion is it right??? anybody? pls advice!!! im stuck n confused...

well to start with the length and width of the sedan boot is different to the coupe thus-far making the boot lid a completely different size.

the sedan boot lid is narrower and quite possibly shorter.

i am suprised you have been able to make any of this work. althoe i havent ever had much of a look i simply did a search when asking this question? can i put coupe light in a sedan and i was told no. one of the main aspects is the inside of the lights where the coupe ones are curved the sedan one is straight. best option is to get some east bear tail light covers like i did. only problem with that is that no one can find them. i was lucky and get a set of a forum member.

hope that is some help to you.

that pic ^^^ is a perfect example of why the 4 door lights look gay. the subaru and other car in the lead have similar dull looking lights. every car has a big dull looking section where the designers are like insert shit lights into this big gay black hole in the back of this car. the 32 in front of the 4 door is the only car that stands out because the designers have actualy spent 5 minutes on them thinking how can we make this thing look tuff. well actualy they would have just been like, geez thoes hotplate lights on all our previous skylines look tuff but we wont do it to the 4 door because we want them to belend in as a family car.

sory to the guy who owns the white 4 door. it does look quite nice. white is my personal faverate colour.

lol thats Nicks car (the guy who posted)...

in the pics ur using the covers... but where is the reversing light mounted that they come with? Because dont the smaller lights get used as the indicators as the 4 door stock ones are covered? or have you wired it a different way?

LOL Damo i dont think i wana sell those guards to you lol :(

Each to there own though

But the first 32 4 door i was gona buy had the covers on the taillights and i prefered that, but after a few years i grew to like them on the car, its something different you dont want a 4 door looking like a 2 door thats why they are different from factory

But yeh i know a lot a people that own 4 doors and prefer to leave the tailights as they are with no covers

its something different you dont want a 4 door looking like a 2 door thats why they are different from factory

but if u leave the stock ones on then arent u exactly the same as everyone else with a 4dr? therefor by sticking the covers on you would then in fact be doing something different??? hmmmm?? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? :(

funny you should ask that as yes the indicators get moved from the outer side to the middle which used to be the reverse light part of the 4 door tail lights. i have wired in diodes into the reverse and indicator wiring so that both, now indercators come on as a reverse light. (old fords used to do this and it is legal, i think) only problem is the orange indicator globes dont fit in the globe holders properly which isnt to big a problem.

haha i new you would say somthing like that as i only realised after i posted it. so you should be saying yea sure you can have it.

i realy dont mind either way but i thought it is a funny debate.

and inarks right as by putting covers on you are being different. its like putting a gtr front end on a gtst, guards and all. it gives an illusion. plus they seem to be hard to come by now so its kinda unike. unlike the rest of my car.

my god thats ugly

hmmm how do we go about banning you from owning a 4 door?

lol just jks I prefer the 4 door look on a 4 door is all I guess 4 door lights on a 2 door would look wrong to me to

but hey if you wanna be different good luck to you

thought so... that was one of the gayer things about the 4dr i had with those covers (Simons car now, but doesnt have the covers anymore)... i do agree tho, they do have to grow on u... for years ive hated the look of them... but now i dont mind em as much and if i was to get another 4dr i would leave em and paint the car satin black.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
