Just passing on the words... thieves - hate em!

ORIGINAL bulletin posted by Adam:

*******************************

When I hear people from the city and other area's of Adelaide slander the south I defend it. The south is my home and the only place I have ever lived. We have amazing down to earth people, beautiful coast line, surfing beaches, fantastic wines and gorgeous amazing girls smile.gif

It has been my choice to give up 90% of my life to my career...in order to fuel a love I have for motor sports... alot of study and alot of travel away from loved ones in order for that next eagerly awaited mod.

When this lack of humanity happens it tests my faith in the south... What have these people given up in their lives to think they have the right to take someone else’s hard work? what have they given up for them apart from a broken foot?

.......

Yesterday at 4 in the morning a group of people decided to jack my car up and steal my 19" speedy rims a few meters from my bedroom window...

They had 3 rims off and in their car...the 4th rim has a dodgy thread...meaning the rim was stuck. It seems they pulled as hard as they could and inturn the car fell off its jacks onto their foot. Smashing the body of my car into the ground.

My alarm then went off and woke me up...jumping over Bee, running into 3 doors trying to get out side the criminal got his foot loose leaving his shoe...

Their car ripped up commercial road as I was left in my undies motionless at the sheer horror of my totalled wreck of a 200sx.

The bill is around the 6 grand mark so far (not insured)

.......

Should I move to another safer area and give up mates and the environment I love?

I don’t want to loose faith in my love of the south... i would like to think the amount of good hard working moral people we have down here outweight the sh7thead down and outers.

They have 3 rims? They cannot sell them! They are rare! I cannot reorder them they are no longer made! There is one other car in Adelaide who has them! These rims will sit in some room not able to be sold. PUT THEM BACK ON MY LAWN! You screwed up!

South I ask this of you! Talk about it...repost this get the word around...any info leading to these people i will reward! I want them! And I want this bullsh7t to stop. The effect this has on people’s lives is horrible I have seen cars in drive ways stripped and their lives are forever changed. I don’t want this happening to anyone else.

Info I need!

1. Anyone who has suddenly after yesterday got a broken foot! Or limping! Their shoe was a cheap as sh7t wave zone skater shoe... Msg me this info.. 0439418141

2. A light blue commodore VN with body kit big chrome mags and clear aftermarket rear lights. Msg me if you know this car! 0439418141

3.19" rims sitting anywhere side of the road or someone’s house. These are useless to them. Or if someone sells a 19" tyre cheap. Let me know! 0439418141

4. Two weeks ago I spent a grand on brand new tyres at the local Bridgestone next to quix...a coincidence they where stolen straight after?????? Again info I need 0439418141.

i need your help...someone knows somthing. Restore my faith in south.

Thanks,

Adam De Laine

poor him :)

don't want to be pain in the ass

but if he can afford to pay $37000+ for this car, why he doesn't buy insurance??

i nearly bought this car off the ex-owner 3 yrs ago, so close i even took it to Nissan Unley to perform a pre purchase check

hell theres a million VNs in adelaide with chromies and aftermarket tail lights. I know one and will SMS/Call him tommorow.

PS, didnt this happen a few weeks ago? Remember that same 200sx with them pics not long ago?

looks like hes gonne get "NOCKED THE F*** OUT......BIATCH"

I hope someone gets them good and they end up in hospiatal eating through a straw, or their car gets stolen and torched.

... Scum like that need to grow the f**k up and work like everyone else.

....have you tried calling a local hospital if they have any records of someone with a broken foot from around that date?

Goodluck with getting your rims back.

It's just dumb not to have insurance on what will probably be your second most expensive ourchase in your life.

I do feel sorry for him, but the world we live in today means you need to insure your car, house, contents, etc, etc.

Sif park your car anywhere (or even own a nice one) without insurance. What the hell a nice car like that is doing parked on a street overnight is beyond me. If you don't give the thieves a good chance they won't even try unless you are majorly unlucky.

Sorry, but if you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford the car.

Hope he gets the rims back though, and the thieves get what is coming to them.

Aren't "Speedy" brand rims cheap-as-crap rubbish that every commo and excel has on them?

see this car all the time on the way home, lives not too far from me. Guys i do agree that its silly not to have insurance on something this nice and i'm sure the guy is regretting it now but lets not rub it in. Good luck getting it all fixed and sorted, i'll keep my eyes open.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
