Yeah i think i will probably remove the HICAS one day but i havent had heaps of driving in it since i bought it about 4 years ago. 7,000km's to be exact. Rest of the time i have been playing around with it. Sounds silly i know but i can never seem to just leave things be. So anyway my point is i want to experience HICAS properly for myself in all conditions before i decide to remove it. Not just because everyone else is telling me to. Even though im sure they are probably right :D

Yes Nissan deffinetly know me well both in melbourne and brisbane now. I need to replace my power steerings hoses in the engine bay but for 5 of them from nissan its 270 bucks! Anyone know of an aftermarket alternative? I was going to try some straight hose for a few of them and see how it sits.

Hi Deren im Chris i met you on saturday at the dyno day.I was talking to you about turbos.Good to see your car and its progress now that its in the QLD section.Makes me want a gtr after the weekend.

Hey Chris, thanks for the tip. After i went home i heard a couple of really loud runs im asuming they were Marks 32 GTR drag car? I live in the estate off Wondall rd so not exactly close but i could still here it loud as! I was wishing i had have stayed.

Yeah i found the low pressure hose not even a foot long, from the resiviour to the pump was 110 bux just on its own ! I plan on taking that hose to an auto parts outlet and trying to find something of a similar shape...an r31 or vl perhaps. Recently, I replaced all the turbo coolant pipes, starting from behind the cylinder head, now THAT was expensive

Yeah im going to just use straight hose to make up the majority of hoses. One or two i might have to buy but that'll be good saving. I can imagine the coolant hoses wouldnt be cheap. My bonnet brand new cost me 1000 dollars, they normally go for 1100 but because i had already spent about 5 grand at nissan they gave me a discount lol.

Leave the hicas in man, leave it 100% original, just restore it to its original beauty and leave it, and I guarantee you in 20 years time that car will net you a pretty sum man. I know your attention to detail having been to your house and purchased parts from you and following this cars build, not too often do you see someone go to the efforts you have  massive props, you know I love your car.

    • I'm selling my brand new, in the box, never used Hypergear ATR45 - and I had some additions I paid for a few yrs back when I purchased it. Never ended up having the rest of the money to add all the mods at once, so I just ended up slowly selling each part. I originally had it internally gated, with the dump pipe, however I found it was incompatible with what I was going to use it for, so I contacted (I think Ken) from Hypergear, and he and I messaged back and forth & he got me to ship the turbo back, where they modified it & made it externally gated, and gave me the 5 bolt dump pipe attachment for custom welding. (Photos below) This turbo like I said has never touched the inside of an engine bay, it's completely brand new, never used, been sitting in the same box it arrived in, covered in plastic & all. Below are the photos of it: And while the guys at Hypergear were making it in-shop, they sent me some photos of the process: I'm looking at selling this just because I'm in need of the money right now, and don't have plans on modifying the 34 anytime soon - and from reviews & peformance sheets, this turbo had amazing results back when I was researching. The turbo was purchased in 2018 for $1.9k, with the mods I got added on. Looking at the website now, for the same turbo they sell (ATR45SAT), with the current addons it adds up to $1830 for the turbo Current addons included: - Bolted dump adaptor - Ball bearing CHRA - Braided oil feeding line So I'm looking to possibly sell it for around $1800, with shipping included in that 1.8k, It cost me around $120 to ship - so yeah thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone was interested in purchasing. Cheers!
