jackz
my r33 gts-t is having some problems in high revs. the car will build boost fine and seems to accelerate normal, but then at higher revs (5000-7000) a grinding / high pitched scraping sort of sound comes from the engine bay. i'm pretty sure its the turbo. when the noise comes in the car doesnt lose any power but it sounds really bad. anyone else had a similar problem? is my turbo about to die? RB30-POWER
could be turbo, could be boost leak, could be blown exhaust gasket my money would be on an exhaust gasket, but thats not seeing/hearing it. you will need to work out which one it is, if thats the case... scooter_r33
does it kinda sound like a whistle being blown? my old mans 4wd has had problems with the exhaust gasket a few times. Eveytime it comes loose and on higher boost it whistles really loudly. a lower whistle than a turbo sound too. Might be worth checking out?
