thats all crazy talk.

dont stop living your life with your loved one (enter family, friend, car here)

with the car, simply insure it for as much as possible......... if something is going to happen to it, then its all about 'chance' in my opinion, not too much you can do about it. Even if you wrap the car in cotton wool and keep it in a secure lock up garage, something could still happen to it, by chance.

bad luck, but good luck that you still have you gtr to enjoy. so enjoy it.

I'm keen as mate, think i'd go a little too far tho........ "Darren stop hitting him" "no" "Darren he's unconcious" "I know"......LOL

Grab a carton of Coopers and were set Andrew!!

hahaha i love it, i can just imagine you doing that :D

good to hear they didn't get to far with it :)

here here Brendan the most sence talked so far

did they set the alarm off or manage to bypass the siren

by the look of it they used a strip down the driverside window into the door to get the door open when they opened the door the siren went off they then poped the bonet and ripped the wire out of the siren they didnt do mutch damage other than the siren wiring and the ignition barrel. lucky Japanese motor sport had one they could sell me.

they had no idea about the imobiliser and that is what saved the car im so glad they didnt stuff up the door locks

and the most anoying part is the fact that i have a new ignition but to get the old one out i had to take out two tamper proof screws, the bastards have no head or any way to get them out, i had to drill a hole and use a punch to slowley hammer the screws around till they got loose enough to move by hand

you know guy some of this talk does worry me

NOW i know sum of you guys are JOKING and only venting

BUT remember if any vigilante behavior is executed the this would make you no better than the common criminal and leave you open to prosecution

and remember its a public forum and you don't know who if viewing this thread even right now there is a guest viewing

I work at TTP and I've been around there long enough to know that this stuff happens all the time. Thats the reality. It sucks I know.

Then you think, maybe it isnt worth driving your car around etc etc, but in the end what did you buy it for??? Like someone said before: ENJOY IT. Honestly I think twice before I take my car out and thats the worst part!! I never used to even consider what car I drove, what ever was on the driveway I took...

The good comes with the bad- Compromise :)

well the car is all go again i put in the new ignition after having the pins set to my key the alarm siren was replaced.

so now its just a bad memory.

i heard from one of the undercover officers and they told me that they got a match from the prints they took so hopefully they will get the sons of biaches!

i think its time to put the ugly club lock back on just as a visual deterant because there is know way they would know that the car is imobilised but they cant miss the trusty club lock.

Geese, I am liking owning my skyline less and less in some ways. I love driving it and it such a cool car, but at the rate they are getting stolen it is almost turning them into a cruise only car. You can't leave them anywhere without that fear no matter what security system you have.

Any those guys that tried to boost your car will probably just get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again.

As I see it, if you sell up because of the thieves, you are really letting them win. I know that I sure as hell won't stop driving my car any less just cos some assholes want to try to steal it. Just work to minimise risks; I see people park their cars down dark alleyways and think that you might as well have a bright neon sign saying "STEAL ME"

You can leave them anywhere, just need enough kill switches and know theres no chance of them starting it, when ever you leave it, take out head unit and hide any other 'less' valuables under the seat or lock them in the glove box so they are out of site.

Im going to get small stickers made up that say: Surveilance camera's in use in this vehicle, enter at own risk!

If your worried about your car being stolen, only take it to places that you know your only going to be a few minutes, or you can see it at all times.

And i agree with Heslo, Don't let the theives win!

you read my mind my friend..read my projected thoughts like a newspaper.

+1 for the stake out.

I have some great paint stripper that would go nicely on their nuts. Those of you who have used it know how much it burns and how hard it is to get off your skin!

BRING ON THE NAPARM!!!

What are they going to do go to the cops. Just tape them breaking into the car and say they pulled a knife on you when you comfronted them. The paint stripper might be hard to explain, as well as the fact they've been lock in my pit for a couple weeks but i'd TRY to explain.

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
