Has Anyone Heard Of A Company Called Power Craft?

Recommended Posts

What are you trying to find out..? Got any pictures..?

I think you're wishing a little too much. Unless the car is some fully built piece of work, i doubt they'll have that much info/let alone remember it without it being something significant.

Think about it this way.. A Japanese guy calls a little Australian tuning shop to ask about a skyline thats more than 10 years old to ask whether they know what has been done to it. What do you think the answer is going to be?

Don't wanna be negative but i don't know about your chances. Unless its like the Mines car posted above...

In saying that, i've been rong before (woops there i go again) I've been wrong before, so give us some more info!

Geez how long have you slackers been in Japan? Can't key in a simple katakana phrase for the poor lad and check the first 10 odd results? tsk tsk :D

tbag, I think this is the mob you're after: http://www1.ocn.ne.jp/~p-craft/

They're way over in Yamaguchi ken and I don't know anything about them, but if you look at the owners gallery they all sorts of cars but specializing in Skylines. Well at least you got some contact details now... but I agree with Poida, good luck in asking them for info on something they did up to 5+ years ago...

i totally disagree with you pete.

hes a gaijin. TICK.

ordered a hypo motor. TICK

paid in cash too!! TICK

get a grip mate. Buisness owners dont forget customers especially when it comes to these matters and you should know. Ive helped build ferrari, bmw and mercedes donks and ive never forgotten the face ( or in the companies case, the name ) of the guy who owns the motor. i could do an etch-a-sketch for you right now if you like!! :nyaanyaa::D;)

cause they built my motor and i'm trying to contact them but can't find anything about them

could it be that you had a motorbike engine rebuilt by these guys, may i ask??

PLEASE say yes... :D

Because I've been around here (Japan and SAU) long enough to know better. Think about it...

??? I answered his question?

Yeah righty-o... *pat* *pat* :laughing-smiley-014:

Wait a minute.. its 5:30am and i realised just how little sense that made.

If hes a gaijin and ordered a hypo motor from said company and paid cash (not sure about that one) then why would he want to know their web address?! You'd think he'd find that first, then get the company to do the work....? *scratches head*... I'm confused..

Well anyway, i gotta go to work, so we'll leave it at that for now.. now wheres my pat on the back?

lol, he just said he knows nothing about this company. I think the logical assumption here is that he has bought/imported a car (either in aus, uk canada where ever). the owner/broker/seller has sold him a line about the car having a 'built' motor, and look here's a sticker on the car as proof... lol so now he wants to try and find out what's in this phantom build. I agree with rezz there is almost a snowballs chance, but it's worth having a go anyway. :D

haven we already established its a motorbike engine?

and regardless of whether or not he paid cash, blah blah..

if he wants to make an enquiry then whats the problem? still, i think his only problem will be communicating to the company.

pete you and rezz gave the guy the spanish inquisition.

you dont see my point...yours is even more unclear.

anyway, hes got his IP. end of story...

oh and rezz ive been around the block here a while myself. I think i know the score. ;):D

lol. have you been smoking the ol wacky backy? He has a skyline GTR, he's on skylines australia and the company in question doesn't appear to have anything to do with building motor bikes. my point was i can be 90% sure he's not in japan, and he didn't buy the engine himself, or pay cash at power craft to have it built. It was almost certainly in a car he's bought overseas.

and like I said there is no problem with trying, but you cut rezz in half for what seemed like pretty reasonable advice to me.

not true. I may be smoking weed but you havent read the thread.

did you not see laurences post or do you just have selective reading skills? The guy came on here to ask about a motorcycle engine.

jeez...

nice picture pete, gave me a right old giggle.

oh by the way, richard, you may be enlightened if you read the guys profile...

it was his first post. just cause the dude has "r32 gtr" written in his profile does that mean you instantly believe him? heck, i have a gallardo, enzo, macF1, ...

you should see my stable!

lol, laurence was being sarcastic. and on your advice I did just look at the guys profile and in it is a picture of an RB26, and it looks a lot like the ones on power craft (same colour rocker covers basically). and he didn't mention motor bike engines? you did!

I will make you a deal. when the dude comes back on-line we'll ask him. if it's for his GTR you owe me a few tokyo beers, if it's about a motor bike engine I'll be buying the beers, i'll even chuck in some ramen and gyoza afterwards. :D

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
