Pls Help Me, Need More Realistic Power

Recommended Posts

hi guys, u may think this is a noob question, but i have hit the power wall. i would like to get some more power out of my r33 gtst. atm it has an upgraded t4 turbo, ssq bov, 720cc injectors (dont ask, dont know why they work), Bilstein heavy duty suspension, front and rear strut bars, nitrided crank, fmic, 3" exhaust and im probably forgetting something.

the turbo will soon be upgraded, a screamer pipe, safc and a tune/remap are on the way. i am also thinking about a z32 afm.

i would like to know from your experience and expertise, whether there are any good mods i can do with a budget, to gain more power, atm the clutch can handle 420kw.

i am probably pushing 190-220kw, which is just a guess atm, will know more after dyno.

furthermore i am thinking of investing in its support systems later on

any and every piece of advice is appreciated thanks.

:):)

How are you running 720cc injectors without management?

You dont have management listed as a current mod, only a future one... so 720's = impossible :)

And i also dont get a nitrided crank either!

For basic mods, see here:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=45218

For more results, so you can relate that to parts

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=55845

And a couple others

There are but a small few of the good threads you can find :)

Also setting a budget for everything helps to get more accurate responses

You could have made 200rw will stock turbo and stock injectors - sounds like what you need is a power fc or somesort of full engine managment to get what you have running properly and efficiently.

Yeh definatelly get an ecu and if you can the power fc is probably your best bet - hard to find nowadays though. That way you can tune it and make the most of your bigger turbo and injectors - should have nice power then. :)

Stock turbo

3" turbo back exhaust

Intercooler

Fuel pump (eg: bosch 040)

and something like 12psi should get you anything between 190rwkw-210rwkw depending.

It wouldn't hurt to get an SAFC II, fuel only computer, to keep the fuel at a safe level and AFR down to a safe level.

With a tune on the dyno you can push over 200rwkw+ on stanard ECU running the above + SAFCII.

But depends how much you want to spend. Since you already have a T04, get a fuel pump, and an after market ECU and get it tuned. You will make some good power.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Abu

definitely thanks. thats perfect i want to have about 250kw if possible, and maybe more, just to beat a few mates.

at least on this forum i can listen to people that have done it before, some engineers i have questioned dont know shit about imports.

once again thanks, i will look around for a better ecu/ power fc and a fuel pump.

I still dont understand how you have 720cc injectors with a stock ECU

theres alot you may not understand, but it works and thats all i care about, that is one of the reasons i purchased this particular car.

all those extras with no ecu upgrade.....

you should be upgrading ecu if u go down the bigger turbo/bigger injectors road.....

yea, ive been thinking about it for a while, im just waiting for a good unit to come onto the market.

I know enough to know 720cc + stock ECU = no chance

:laughing-smiley-014:

Yeh doesn't make much sense, any sense really, even with a simple fuel computer they would flow way too much and the ammount of correction applied would be astronomical. Perhaps either they are not 720cc or it has some crazy re-mapped jap ecu that he is not aware of...

hey guys, just throwing it out there,

does anynone know a ball park figure for a full tune?

any suggestions would be helpful

Depends what your tuning...

safc around 150 -200

Power fc around 400 - 500 perhaps, each car / ecu is different.

I'm contemplating a power fc or if i can't find one maybe I'll go with emanage ultimate. :) safc has gotten me to 195rw so far so its doing an alright job on a reasonably safe tune i.e between 11.5 and 12 afr. :)

k sweet, i'll tell a few mates, also-im talking too much

but when i get all these mods done, will it be safe to drive around for 1-2 wks untuned. until it is tuned?

cheers
