Here's what happened:

I was driving alone quietly minding my own business and I noticed that I was being followed by a commonwhore for a while now. This all occurred in the morning peak hour on Olympic Drive. Soon enough, the commonwhore turned on its siren. Never having been pulled over before, I had no idea what to do. I merged into another lane to let them through (thinking 'I haven't done anything wrong so I should let them pass'). Once I had merged, they turned the siren off and just drove up and past me ... (there were cars in front of them still, but they didn't merge coz the cops had turned the siren off). Could anyone break down what just happend here? And also, if a cop, undercover or not, turns on their siren from behind you after tailing you for some time, are you supposed to pullover or what (remember again, it was during peak hour).

Thanks all!

If you werent doing anything wrong..

Perhaps they had a call on the radio for an urgent job and some other GD crew had gotten the call and reported that it was nothing urgent, hence it was on and then it was off.?

OR

They were just doing a check on you since you "are a typical hoon driving a performance car" and when they drove up to you they looked at you and though oh he looks ok. iono..

Total assumptions above...

You did the right thing to merge and let them pass. You only pull over (stop fully) if you deem it's safe enough to do so.

All part of the game of the dude.

You drive a skyline, you pay high insurance, you get unwanted attention from the police.

99% of us here do the right thing, drive normally and are decent law obiding citizen.

Unfortunately the other 1% who think they're Schuey, like to reverse quick cars into shop frons etc, have permanantly fu*ked it up for the rest of us.

The only way to avoid it is to drive a Citroen

Could of just been a prick with a siren .. Would work well in peak hour..

Its happened to me before car full of 20 yr olds in a 380 with full setup lights all over the thing (i think it was daddys car) hit me with it pulled over n they drove past.. I have to say they had been tailing me and id been playing with them.

If a police officer switches on the lights you are meant to pull over to the left hand side and come to a complete stop, however not many people do this, it was not an offence until recently to not do this.

the other night i was driving with a mate, i was doing around 70/60, it was the street leading up to kk's in mascot so it was dead. copper comes the other way, sees me and does a u-turn,when i saw this i thought i might as well pull over and save them the hassle of turning their lights on.

they kind've freaked out because i had my license ready to give them as they hesitated to come to my window, they kind've stood back a bit, they asked me the usual 'how fast were you going?' line, and i gave back the usual 'i was doing the speed limit' response. breath tested me and off i was.

did they expect me to tell them i was speeding? seriously?

you were supposed to say "hi officer good thing you didn't catch me 5 minutes ago i was doing 160km/h while drifting through a roundabout and trying not to spill my beer while i snorted a line of coke off a prostitute's stomach.. oh by the way my tyres are bald and there are numerous unsafe mods to my car".

good thing I corrected you mate, you'll save everyone embarrassment if you just stick to the script next time :nyaanyaa:

I was at a round-about on a main road and a 4x4 cop was going around. He had right of way so I let him in.

It was a 70 zone and they were doing 40 or less (kept looking in their rear view to see my response).

So i jumped in the right lane, and cruised upto 70 and then jumped back in the left lane. I made sure it didn't seem fast at all.

They didn't like this.. and put on the lights and sirens.

At first I thought they just wanted to get past, so I jumped in the right lane again to let them go, but they did too. So I went back in the left lane, and they did aswell.

There was no-where safe to pull-over, so when I could, I did (it was probably a 1km distance they followed me wight lights and sirens).

Eventually I did, and they just went over the car and asked why my pod filter was a blow off valve (on a non-turbo car) and after i had a giggle they left me alone.

undercover cops dont drive commodores

Do u mean an unmarked police car

lol wat you mean they dont drive commodores, what is the difference between an undercover cop driving a plain commonwhore and an "unmarked" police car. oh wait i get it.... the car and the people inside were in non-police colours.

Undercover cops drive magnas and ware plain clothes , unmarked police cars are commodores driven by police in uniform , if u get pulled over by an undercover cop it means u are a drug dealer as they dont care about traffic rules

Maybe my eyes were mistaking me then when last wednesday lunchtime I was at my local markets and drove past a chick in a commodore doing a massive burnout in a public carpark to then watch 2 plain clothed police pull over in a commodore stationwagon with flashing lights on the dash and get out holding their badges up to the chicks window.

My info is a couple years old they might be in commodores now , but i still thought all the D`s and undercovers cops were in 380/magnas so they are a little bit more stealthy

D`s (detective) dont pull cars over unless they want to speak to the driver as it blows there cover

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
