Power FC

Hi,

Have been looking into getting a Power FC for my R33 GTR.

Second hand if possible but not having much luck.

Best price new I have found so far:

Has anybody had any experience with them? I notice that they have an Australian agent.

Their agent has been very helpful but just wanting to know if anybody has dealt with them in the past.

Any other recommendations?

Kind Regards,

TG.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hi,

I'm selling my PowerFC and hand controller as I return my car to stock to sell it.

I'm asking 2Grand with the hand controller and what is probably the best tune I've heard off on a near standard R33 GTR. I have a HKS cat back exhaust. (255kw at the wheels at 1 bar).

Only minimal massaging would be required to spec to your engine if your car is stock.

I'm definately selling it in the next week or so.

Also if interested I have a set of 80mm meters (Z32) which is a common upgrade with Powerfc for GTR's. It's a selctable option in the computer to read the different voltage etc. I just never got around to fitting them.

normally 350 a meter, 700 for the set.

If you want the lot you can have it all for 2.5K

Send me a PM if you're interested, I'm in sydney.

Serious offer.

Sebaz

Unfortunately by the time that you include shipping costs from Sydney it may not be worth it. Thanks anyway.

I have decided to go with Greenline, their prices have dropped even further for July:

Have had awesome customer service with them so far in terms of response times and information. Have had a few friends purchase off them so I don't think there is a problem.

    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
