thanks for the kind words guys - i'll make sure I keep an eye out in future.

Not that any justification needs to made here, but that thread was deleted and deemed inappropriate simply for the interests of the owner of the car. It was also deemed inappropriate that the # plates be plastered up for everyone to see. He made a mistake, if he broke the law, he has, or will be paying the consequences. I dont know the car, or the owner, but having made my own mistakes in a vehicle, I know how gutted i'd feel if some wank3r with a camera plastered shots all over the internet with it - specially when no one really knows the circumstances of how it happened.

What I do find funny is how you SAU members have all these ideas it was removed because its an "embaressment" to Silvias. I drive a GT-R, I respect a fat Silvia as much as any import lover, but i'm far from trying to hide bad examples of their driving - nor do I take offense to examples of skyline accidents, apart from the stereotype it creates.

Its a pity, on face value the majority of SAU seems to be such a close knit and ignorant bunch. I've never felt welcome here, hence why I dont really bother with this site. And believe me, i'd much rather be hanging out with Skyline brethren.

Nisskid on his high horse with NS....mate, do us all a favour, if its so unproffessional, just dont come on the site. Your posts wont be missed

its honest feedback from not only me but people i talk to, do with it what u want but thats the general conception of ns.com. as i said, ns has its appeal but it is certainly something that draws alot of people away from the site. but lets just sit in our chairs and just dish out some more bullshit insults, thatll fix the problem :)

RB4Door...Mate you need to earn the respect of people, you think you are on top of the world because you are a mod, and think you can do anything and hide behind the website and get away with it.

You probably remember how you cancel my account and every other account I have try to create on NS, and did nothing to try and rectify the problem, you are nothing but and arrogant prick IMO.

I have nothing against NS as a matter of fact I am a member still (go on cancel that account as well) and find SOME information there very useful, but its people like you that make people here on SAU have that kind of mentality towards NS.

I don't know all the details of your run in with RB4Door, but as a mate of his that has had numerous posts removed, and been banned from ns.com plenty of times, I can say with certainty that it is nothing against people individually. He has a responsibility to try keep some sort of order on ns.com and he does it whether it's a friend or foe. You need to harden the f*ck up and ask him what the issue was and rectify it.

Nisskid, there are plenty of posts that you have made that are on the money, but there are even more that are misleading and untrue. This is where you'll find people responding negatively to you, as misleading people can lead to wasted money and bad decisions. You need to ensure your posts are accurate before posting them.

As for tyre stretching, you'll find that many of the rims that we have recommended for stretch are wider than what someone would normally fit to their car. This allows the size of rubber they originally choose to run to be stretched and further enhance it's performance. But this isn't a place to argue....there are plenty of ns.com threads already discussing it.

As for the SAU elitist anti ns.com attitude, I don't know where it has come from. I have been pissed of with ns.com and certain members plenty of times, yet I continuously check it to help what I am doing to my car etc. At the end of the day, everyone are import enthusiasts, and I have seen NUMEROUS SAU members with no idea how to drive, and no idea how to style a car. I honestly think SAU struggles more than ns.com in many ways. And ns.com IS the biggest site of it's kind in Australia, so it is doing something right.

Get off the high horses, enjoy your passion and your cars, and STFU I say. Every scene has shit house drivers. Get over it.

oops wrong site.... where did my buttons go?

...i hate fanboys, but there are top members on SAU and NS that make it worth coming back

sau and ns.com both rock in my opinion, it's just the bored regulars that sit on the sites all day, and have nothing better to add than complaints, that bring us all down.

anyway, back on topic. sorry to hear about the guy in the S15... not cool . .

geez.. what the.. bit of a read to get through it all.

Chill guys, all of u. This is the sort of crap that brings the adelaide car scene down, all the fighting and crap. If u got problems.. maybe keep it to PM? No need for public slanging matches - interclub fighting or what ever. We got people from ns comin here to defend themselves and the club.. and people from here slagging off other clubs etc.

This is the ONLY club i really hang out on/with, cos i found too much of this nagging and fighting on other clubs.. not naming any club in particular, been on many 'car club' forums and all they do is fight and argue?

Please keep it off the forums guys..

spose ill get bagged for something, but please chill out..

Do people on ns.com know we exist? if they dont... keep it that way. Keep this forum predominantly skyline owners. not miata/180sx/tarago/celica/lancer/commonwhore/falcodore etc...

People everyday thinking that SAU is turning into NS.com... it isnt really. I mean you have those little gay side-clubs and stuff but nothing too over the top.

I have a 180sx, does this mean I should piss off in your opinion ?

*as for ns.com, it has its place and it can be useful. Its just some cockheads that ruin it for everyone, just the same as some people on here (after it was pointed out how that looks, no that is not aimed at anyone in particular just in general).

Doesn't matter what you own, have respect for peoples' pride and joy, share your knowledge without being too much of an ass and you will live a happy forum life. Pauly is just too much of a keyboard warrior and I think he types faster than his thinking sometimes

then these need to be pointed out, to be honest its been a while since ive seen someone come up and say, nope ur wrong, heres why and give me some hard facts. im not saying im always right, but im sick of u guys saying yeh ur always talking shit, but i never see u guys actually point out whats wrong, only thing i can think of lately u guys have disagreed with me about is the wheel fitment, stretching tires and the coilovers, and to be honest i think my case in all of them was fair, if ya want point out some of the things i have said that have been misleading and ill check them out, otherwise i think its a bit unfair to say those things without examples, im sure there are a few things i have got wrong along the way but id hardly say moreso than right.

im wondering why i cant lock this thread.

kralster was bad enough, now weve got idiots from both side of the fence slinging shit back and forth.

pm button is right there kiddies, use it.

    • I am getting the same issue. Did you resolve it? I just got it after installing my new super coppermix and literally the same issue, new fork, new 18mm carrier, release bearing that came with the kit and replicated the exact same sound.
    • If you like - I have the STL files so I can email em. There's a couple of gotchas (i.e the holes are not threaded so you might need/will need) to utilize some M3 melt-in threads for some of the points. However if you want to be super accurate, and are willing to remove your calipers and your SHOCKS it's a really good tool. You also might need to scale the part that measures the tyre width a bit wider. It defaults to a 7.5in tyre and I mean who is running that. Luckily with the magic of CAD this is very easy to rescale.
    • jeebus. glad you weren't under it while performing the stunt. Also thanks for the link to the wheel measurer, exactly what I needed
    • In the older stuff there were very significant differences 2wd to 4wd, for example Stagea had strut front end for 2wd and double wishbone for 4wd so it was not minor to swap. From poking around the 2wd v37, it *looks* like it might be more possible; some of the parts specifically have "2wd" stamped on them which suggests the platforms are more similar. You'd still want to start with a 4wd half cut to swap stuff from though. I'd suggest if you don't have a tune on the ECU you don't really need one on the trans either. Throttle mapping is in the ECU side (and you can always use a Roar Pedal if you want the throttle to actually respond to your foot), and really if you are happy with the stock power you probably accept the stock trans behaviour too....its all made to be "sporty" not racey.
    • So, updates. I have not washed the car since it came back from Tassie. I've driven it around a bit but not got around to actually sorting it out. I DID raise it because I cracked the rear bar leaving a hotel which was very distressing. Interestingly, the car drives more compliant now that it's raised a fair bit (5mm front, 15mm rear). Also noticed that my FR height was 10mm lower than FL. So that's now sorted out, too. I also bought this and had it printed: https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1576422240/wheel-and-tire-fitment-tool-universal?ref=shop_home_feat_1&dd=1&logging_key=08f604d9fa4cc383550ba985e6ac85cd5cac7fbb%3A1576422240 Now, if I was smart I would have taken my brake calipers off to actually use this correctly but it was evident enough to me that in the region where the caliper was... there was nothing to hit suspension/guard/arm wise. So I'm going with "it'll be fine" after using the tool to hopefully very precisely measure the wheel clearance. Also while doing this, I had the very VERY bad idea of jacking one of the wheels/suspension arms up while the rest of the car was on jack stands. I did this to see how the arm would travel. This all was well and good until the car slid off the stands and went through a fence. So don't do that. Incredibly nobody was hurt and there was only minor damage to the rear bumper as the car didn't have far to slide, and had 3-4 wheels on it. The only damage turned out to be the fence itself which was easy to fix, and a little bit of damage to the fibreglass rear bumper trim. I had already planned to try a touch up paint kit to fix the time I drove into my garage door to see if it'd help in the interim before I get it fixed properly. I used the Dr Colorchip kit after looking online and seeing everyone talking about it. Yes it's made for chips and not huge broken missing pieces and I'll be 500% recommending it for stone chips after using it for stupid things like me. This took about ... 10 minutes and looking at the half assed photo the 30 second job I did on the bumper corner was almost perfect just by using the tiny little brush and painting it in. The sealact stuff to remove over-painting is really useful, so if/when I do it again I'll likely slather the touch up paint well over it and then clean it up with the cleaning solution. The wheels should arrive in a couple of weeks. I am still kinda confident after doing a stupid amount of measuring (and borrowing a set of 18x10.5+15) that they will not fit because I overlooked something, somehow and flew too close to the sun. ALSO R34 GTR guard liners do not fit on a GTT. I bought the undertray brake duct guides and had the wonderful problem of them not fitting my intake, my oil cooler and the liners themselves were even worse. Attempting to fit them won't work in general - You would have to cut them up as another poster mentioned as the bodywork is different on the GTT. At least I can try to resell them. So instead of cutting those up, I cut up my old already-cut-up GTT liners and extended them by using some PP plastic and drilling some 8mm holes for some nissan clips for the 'extra' bit. Because I was happy to cut them I was able to mount them pretty damn forward so I now have some semblance of guard liners, and the brake vents seal the bumper from the bottom. It sort-of-looks like this, to give some idea - If you look at the GTR and then the GTT this is when I realised that I needed to seriously measure as the inside of the rim area is entirely, entirely, entirely different and could not take any internet measurements for granted.
