Well like it sayd on the thread Will the GTRs exhausts fit onto Rs4s and 260Rs? And exhaust from Rs4s are interchangeble with 260Rs?

I know in terms of length wise the Gtrs exhaust will fall shorter in comparison to the Rs4s and 260Rs specs. Cos i noticed in my Nismo exhaust from the end of the main body of the muffler to the tip of the outlet exhaust its like almost a foot long. Probably its just a GTrs echaust with an extended tip to fit onto the 260Rs.

Main thing is are the hannging points where the exhaust are hooked onto the undercarriage vis a rubber thingy are all at the same points? With the Gtrs, Rs4s and 260Rs? If they are almost the same then it shouldnt be a big problem to modify it abit. And how about the layout the bends of the exhaust ETC all the same?

Hey I tried a r32 exhaust on my rs4 as thought i would be able to lengthen it as some other forum members have done. Problem I had was that the offsets for the rear muffler on the r32 were centre to centre, where as the stagea really needs right-right. I couldn't get it to fit in, and the pipe bends weren't quite right either.

I have a Trust Power Extreme system specifically for the stagea that I am looking to sell as it hangs a bit too low at the rear can for my stupid-steep driveway. PM me if you are interested ... looking for $750 but need to sort a replacement system first. Its only been on the car 2 weeks.

Are the echaust for 32s, 33s and 34 GTRs the same meaning are they interchangable? Are the Rs4s and 260rs exhaust interchangeable?

I can confirm that the dump and front from R33GTR can be used on 260rs no problems. But cat back i dont know. Any ideas?

What im trying to do is try to use an echaust from R33 or R34s why? Cos theres not much to choose from a 260rs for the exhaust system. Im trying to look for a 3.5" at least. So....

I have tried to fit ( well lined up ) a skyline rear box on a Std RS Four. The petrol tanks appear to be in a different position.

There was no way it would fit .

Skyline GTS exhausts dont fit GTRs so I would assume that RS Fours AND 260RS exhausts are different. Possibly the back box may be the same shape but could be a different pipe size

you know you can fix your steep driveway easy. Go to the junk yard and buy your self a tick steelplate and put it over the ditch so the angle becomes not so steep. of course you have to drive a few bolts on the pave way to hold it in place. Seen it in a few service station and coles did it.

Yea ken im looking into buying one from japan.

A friend of mine told me that Rs4s and 260rs are interchangeable. And 260rs can use a Gtrs echaust but have to cut and weld though. I think i will just have to do that

    • Reading through the engine service manual their advice is do a cylinder balance test. Unplug one injector at a time and see if the idle drops a consistent RPM. You can also do this using a Consult cable which is easier. They also call for unplugging the power transistor, then with the engine off and the fuel rail unhooked from the manifold verifying that you have good fuel flow (even injection, no dripping/leaks, etc) when you twist the CAS by hand. Also verify the spark by pulling the spark plugs and allowing the plugs to ground and turning the CAS by hand. I would also start doing the sensor checks and idle valve checks in service manual. Make sure the MAF tests reasonably, the intake air regulator is sane, etc. You may have to get new spark plugs.
    • This sounds very old of me, however since buying the Tiguan shit box, my view on shit boxes have changed.
    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
