OK before you perthies start tellin me to go to my own section :)

I wanna get perth numberplates cos they're l33t and long.

Also since I'm planning on doing a widebody conversion for the R32 I'm bringing down, I wanna get Phat Ass or sumfin similar to that.

What's the rules for gettin the plate, do you have to do a yearly renewal, does the car have to have a WA rego, any rules for rego, do you have to do yearly inspections?

Please advice and no whoring.

oh and no starwars porn...

btw you know if you guys get 20 ppl together you can get WA numberplates with a "sporting club" logo on it. All you gotta do is have an Association number or ABN. I reckon you guys should get SAU WA numberplates, that'd be uber cool.

yeah but the sporting club ones are the type of plates the WA governement intends to lease to u so u pay every year to have the plate.

what do u mean no :) porn thats the best bit.

anyways all u need to do is apply for the plates and have them sent to ur nearest licensing centre. seeing your in wa i don't know how it would work.

you don't have to put them on a car staight away but you have to put them on a registered car. they hold them at the licensing centre while ur waiting for a car to put them on

do I need a WA registered car? If I do, is it possible to register the car once and then jus mail in the registration renewal. like in VIC?

If I don't need a WA rego'd car, then I'mma gettin myself a numberplate asap.

It goes like this (i used to be an licensing clerk) u wont be able to keep them for long if your car is in another state - i think its 3 months and then it has to have the plates handed in and the car licensed in whatever state your in and licensed with those plates.

Sorry.

yes they can hold plates for 3 years - but one of the guys in the eastern states wants WA plates on his car - The car must be licensed with a WA address and can have an Eastern States postal address - but yes the car has to be present in the state of license. If he was to take his car back to the east with WA plates on it then he could keep them for 3 months then they would have to be handed in and the car pitted and licensed in his own state ;)

    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
    • the Tomei LSD fluid with lsd kit. frustrated that it was shaking the car to crap and affecting everything else negatively, I pulled the diff last night, and removed the lsd carrier, could not find anything wrong, however it seem to be 100 locked up acceleration, and deacceleration, wondering if they sent me a 2 way not a 1.5??  either way I installed the stock open carrier back in place. test drove everything smooth as butter again. no shake, shutter, random, what felt like clutch slip and grab or drive shaft play, etc. something differently wrong in side the lsd. I might bother taking it apart (if possible) to figure out what's going on inside this carrier, as bought too long ago to return.  only draw back is its back to a one wheel wonder.
    • If there's oil in with the clutch, I hope it finds its way out even if that hole has a cover/grommet 😛 I don't want oil near my cars clutch! 😛 Interested to hear the answer about covering it, I'm assuming a bung for a gearbox from another car that has a grommet to suit.
