Have never seen one in this country, but the front grille and headlights often turn up on Yahoo Auctions ~ Japan, but they want a bomb for them as anything R30 is now cult status in Japan. An HR30 coupe like Harry's old car used to sell at auction for about 150000 yen, but today your lucky to get anything reasonable for about 500000 yen.

if someone was after a true one of a kind (in australia) then this would be it....

harldy anyone out there actually knows what this is (or recognise it!)

if i was fully loaded, i would bring it over, take out all the running gear and rebuild it all and then put it in a shed, then drop a nice Rb30, CA18det, RB20det.... L28et whatever the budget desires

one day (like 10 years) this car with all the origional gear in it would be worth SHITLOADS

(so make it last till then, and put the z18 thing back in etc...)

yeh i was lookin at the black thing!...SHINY!!!

there are alot of R30 available for minimal cost, but hardly any are good enough for compliance, and thats where the money is for the importers!

i do know of an importer with 15 DR30s, one with a FJ24det....... but thats his personal one!

I would kill to have an FJ24... and a turbo conversion aswell??? f**k im jealous that engine would be worth a fair fortune.

I did hear DR30's are easier to come by then R32s these days in Japan... when you see pictures of the car yards over there full of DR30's I can see why.

How come most arn't good enough for compliance??? they are in shitbox condition? or to do with other things?

mostly because they are 20+ years old now and most are in fare condition, you could import one your self but to import places only the good condition examples will make them profit $$$....

an FJ24 alone is a very sort after engine and worth a mint to any nissan fan, could be worth more than most of our cars.

i remembe reading an artical about the fj24 around 10 years ago and they were very rare then...

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
