I liked it too except I wasn't driving and we had to get up at 5am and It was a HELL of a drive back to the workshop, I think you banned me from speaking for most of the trip back!! And we saw that yellow TMU car which was scary And we had no ciggarettes and couldn't stop because the car wouldn't make it back if we did!

Fun drive.... hehe :)

Ahhhh, the fun of having not being able to come to a complete stop with a destroyed clutch plate and a gearbox with stripped teeth... good times... can't wait to do it again some day :P

I'll be heading down for the day Ant.

Finding the track will be all about memory:

1. Freeway towards Bairnsdale

2. Get off when it says < Morwell

3. Drive till you see a roundabout with a KFC

4. Turn left

5. Drive till you see the track on your left (few km's from the KFC turn)

LOL - does this help :P

I will be entering too. too many withdrawl symptons since Dutton.

It should be good, and as Bec said it could be the last chance to run the old tracks before they finish the new one.

Plus its cheap... given nothing breaks and i dont introduce my car to a tree.

That KFC has been closed down and might be bull dozed by now..

The road you turn left down at the round about is called Latrobe Road

Remember to put your entries in people.

This could be the last chance you have to drive the old Morwell Circuit, as they are in teh process of building the new one.

Also - at this stage, it looks like anyone who enters will be getting lots of track time :action-smiley-069:

Well it looks like after some drunken motivation at Ryan's last saturday I'm coming as well! Hopefully they will accept my entry tomorrow although I can't see it being a problem as there's only 21 on the list at the moment.

Hoping to to embarrass a few wrx drivers!

Those pesky rexes are quick around ye old morwell circuit... luckily they're not that quick around a proper circuit :P:no::O

Good luck all!

For sure Ant - im thinking we need to be leaving at 6.30am ish - probably from Rowville Maccas or somewhere just before we jump on the freeway at Stud Road.

Will chat with Chris and confirm with you though - Fryzie will be with us as well.

You still got the same mobile number - can call you to confirm if you like.

Yep 6:00-6:30 meet is fine by me as it takes around an hour and 1/2 right? I know where princes hwy and stud road meet but have never been to rowville maccas (shock horror :)).....is it close to that intersection?

    • i will be there 😁
    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
