Reason for the bigger master cylinder is that after the new calipars the pedal is too long, it's alright round town, but on the track where you get the added joy of knock off, you constantly have the tap the pedal at the end of straights to make sure you have brakes, and to get the pad's as close the rotors as possible.

last track day i stopped trying to feather the throttle and just planted it. and i found that when i do that i get revs rising going no where, then i see the tourqe gauge move, revs drop, and off you go. But by the time the R32 ecu pick's up wheel-spin, and decides to transfur the tourqe i've lost a fair wack of time (well it seems like it when a similar car is screaming away from you). So i'm thinking the trasfure case might be alright, had crossed my mind though. Just seems odd that out of right handers the car is awsome.

I assume the diff oil was changed at import time (10,000k ago), but i'm gunna see if i can get some oil and change it before the track day this sunday.

BB: the 2wd idea had crossed my mind aswell, might try it this weekend.

Yeah, try the 2wd idea for sure. 1 thing i know is the attessa system relies greatly on left and right g-force to decide on its level of activation. The latteral g-sensor may not be working as advertised, giving a greater voltage to the computer in one direction and not the other. The only reason i mention this is because i've done a little experimentation with a home made attessa controller and this was a similar problem that i encountered when biasing the voltage to the computer one side more than the other. I didn't take it on the track though so i didn't push it real hard. A good troubleshooter for this would definately b to de-activate 4wd and and see if the problem persists to a similar extent. This maybe a bit of a long shot but electronics fail also.

Well i changed my diff oil. Did SFA  . I could count the amout of laps i did, cause i layed a black stripe every lap from the hairpin. One thing I did find though was that if I took the first corner in 3rd instead of 2nd I was quicker, cause for some reason the AWD kicked in realy fast and pulled me through the corner with next to no wheelspin, but 3rd isn't ideal for the first corner at all. It seems to me that ATTESSA dosn't like help at quite high rpm (~7000+), but is very eager to help you in the low to mid-range.

Looks like i'll be getting a Nismo clutch pack thing (from the driveline forum), and rebuilding the diff.

this is pretty obvious guys. ur lsd is slipping!!! on the right side!!, while the left wheel is locking. hence round a left corner u get wheel spin while the w8 is off the wheel. n round a right corner the w8 is on the left wheel (which doesnt slip) causing it to loose traction and go sideways. time for a kaaz mechanical lsd!! $1000 should do the job

    • Went to a drift practice day at a local circuit (held on the reserve parking area behind the grandstand) for the first time in about 15 years. Some kei cars were drifting as well, a not so surprising Suzuki Carry truck, and two 1st gen Daihatsu Copens that were converted to rear wheel drive(!) using Daihatsu Boon X4 transfer case, prop shaft and rear diff, obviously omitting the front driveshafts. They looked really fun to slide. I heard that they cost "about half" as much as a Nissan Silvia etc to run.  On the track 'Tech M' a local BMW tuning garage had a customer track day. Mainly recent models but there was one E36 which looked ancient among all the current models. It was cool watching the drifting and then turning around and seeing random people thrashing their M3/4s  central-circuit-drift-practice-2025-05-18-long-yt.mp4
    • I prefer it with those wheels (sacrilege?) 😋 Here's a photo of a fully original one for reference. The price is $350K....
    • I would like to keep it around 15k but if I need more to make it reliable and not have to worry about the car breaking I can go more. It's my project car so I'm just trying g to figure out what needs to be in it i know basic things like turbo cams injectors I'm just unsure of the size and the specifics so I'm spending alot of time on Google and its mostly rb25 and rb26 not alot on neo
    • This. They would need some tricky maneouvering to keep the income out of the country (the US). Which isn't helpful if that's where you want the income to end up.
