No more than 190rwkw with supporting modifications on a standard RB25 turbo on an RB20.

Read through this link below for some more info on turbo selection and power figures. Its a thread I put up about the same question and has taken off quiet well.

A lot of useless information and recommendations..

Short answer though. A HKS/GARRETT 2535 should get you to 240rwkw on an RB20 with supporting mods.

Hey i just wanted to know what turbo u would need for a rb20 in a r32 too make 220 - 240 rwkw?

HKS 2535, 2530, highflowed stock or better yet, highflowed rb25 turbo

and what power u can make outa a r33 std turbo on a rb20?

thanks

180-190 rwks

You'd be pushing a 2530 pretty hard in my opinion to get to 240rwkw as well as a RB25 high flow.

I don't think an RB20 high flow would get to 240rwkw?

220 and 240kw in an rb20 is a big difference.

you either stay below 220 or get a turbo that will make 240 easy

only thing in common between the numbers is that you will need all supporting mods to make the power safely

Yeah once your looking at over 220rwkw you have to consider bigger injectors as well as a Z32 AFM.

Decent size turbo, with a substantial amount of lag, over response.

After a lot of research and reading that thread in my first post on this thread, I have decided to stay under 220rwkw.

he did say between, so i was looking at both ends of the spectrum

Hi.

Please take the time to have a search around the forum.

There are a lot of threads on this, some already linked in this thread.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
