put your mobile number here..My friend's GTT white got stolen 2 years ago and had anonymous caller (must be the thief coz they read the forums) that the car was in fairfield market after being stripped of wheels and few other engine goodies. Good luck man..Did you have insurance??

alarm was due to go in wednesday, full shannons insurance - sis' car-

yeh gone in 20mins from the time she got there - arrive 11.39am- cameras show leaving 12.03pm

only had 65k kms - at least we hadnt fitted the turbo timer- or any other perfomance parts

Damn that sucks.... although security footage may help??? Seems to be more of these threads every day....

But also check your policy.... if the alarm wasn't already in, it might not be covered????? Not sure with Shannons though, but my Suncorp policy clearly states that if the car does not have a 3 point approved alarm then the insurance is void :)

no immobiliser - the alarm+immobiliser were due to be fitted 2 days from now --- M80.

its gone so soon we hadnt even transferred the rego.

I'm pretty sure having no alarm will void your insurance. Usually Shannons likes to have a 3point immobiliser in the car before they insure it.

yeh that had us thinking last nite, she had already stayed in the city with it - at a 5 star hotel for the weekend and it was parked by valet - couldve been keeping tabs on it for a few days but it was also parked on the street in bright le sands and was ok the next day.

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
