do i know you? haha.

Prolly not, i remember when you first had it in the bridge before you migrated to mannum. Parked out on the road behind the cop shop, mostly in it. Pretty sure your old mans the cop there. Whenever a new import floats around i always take notice...

ah ok.

are you in mannum? or the bridge?

just trying to figure out what car you have and if ive seen it before.

Out past palmer, maybe you've seen the black 32 with the dented back end with the boot tied closed with rope?

ah yeah ive seen it.

that was michaels wasnt it? lives just around the corner from me?

what happened to it to get so dented up?

That was his, it broke down on palmer road and som c**ts kicked it in or something. That's my second 32, i had my first one when i was working at Domino's, so long ago.

ah ok, how stuffed is your first one?

get a 32gtr, i was going to get one if i sold the onevia, still might if i eventually sell it.

should be decent with the new wheels, ive added a heap of other stuff to it since its been off the road, should be going a lot better then before.

Rear quater needs panel beating and a pesky regency needs to come off. It's a lot better than mikes' although i was aware of how he drove it. I wanted it for the wheels and gtr kit, was going to put a new motor in it.

I'll look forward to seeing your progression with her, normally see her parked in random places. It's nice to see a rarer import driving round, especially in a small town.

yeah, the wheels on mikes were fairly new anyway, so they would have been fine. after hearing it drive past my house a few times it got me wondering what was going on with it, it was making some pretty weird noises at times.

if i see ya around ill give ya a wave!

Wow it sucks still being sick  I had a week of holidays, first in a long time, and was sick for all of them :)

Chilli & Garlic man. Eat as much as u can. Get yrself some vindaloo or some kinda thai, you'll sweat the sickness out ;D

    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
    • Semi slicks are horrible for road use, just use a high performance road tyre unless you really need the maximum grip. Noisy, unpredictable (amazing, until they are not), expensive due to very high wear and not good in cold and particular wet. And yes, it is a thing to store cars on stands instead of tyres if you know they are going to be parked up long term.....but who ever realises that a short park is going to stretch into years before it is out again!
    • I know in Australia you'll definitely get above 30c. Parked in the shade in Summer you'll be above that. 😛 But in cooler climates, you might get that warm driving on the highway for a bit, but you'd never get to full heat temp. I'll try and find some of my historical tyre temps between Aus summer and winter (be aware immin the warmer area of Aus too.)
