MODS:

I think we should have a sticky thread that has all the events in one location, not the information but just what event is happening on what date. Saves people missing events because they are sprawled all over the SA page and in the events section.

just my 8 yen.

waaaaaaaaaaah i'm so upset, i had to undo my button and zip on my jeans

just to get them up  not happy they were heaps loose on me b4 lol

crappers

I wonder why that is :)

I disagree. It will just become yet another whoring thread for you, rad33, cronic etc. - same as every other thread on here lately. Events should be in Events section. Full stop, no arguments. I think mods should move any even threads to the event section. If people dont read events section, tuff shit.

i was gonna say its just there for the winter hybernation season  need to build up the supply

Nah, she's just all preggers :D If she's like this now over a zipper, image the moods swings later :)

i did think of that idea a while ago, if it was locked and only night crawler could make changes to the 1 post that could work.

but then its a pain in the arse for him n such :)

and yeah they should be in events section the fact that that thread aint used at the moment poses a problem in no 1 go's looking there, maybe if we start shifting it in there might help

OK, after seeing the thread you made Damo, I think I misunderstood your intention.

I see it will be a calendar for a Mod only to update - apologies. I still think all events threads need to be moved/moderated to the Events section though - that's what it's for :)

LOL be thankful your not living with me :D

i was heaps angry at my dad for waking me up at 9:30 this morning

and the other night when my mum asked if i was gonna eat my dinner i really wanted to

snap at her and then walk of slamming the door behind me lol, but i didn't surprisingly

wat... we whore the wasteland!! hence the reason for the wasteland!!! and its RAD32 FFS......

My $10 bucks!

Yeah mate it is simply for a calendar, that's it. Will be similar to how the organised states have their club calendar, but if your in a hurry and don't wanna search through the SA section you can refer to the link as to what event is coming up.

LEG IT

my word i am shit scared of pregnant women :D:laugh::laugh::bunny::P

Well don't you just hate being lied to because the old falla doing a wheel alignment in the Darlington (pm if you want to know who) area CBF doing his job properly and gives you a shiet house wheel alignment with a steering wheel thats way way off center.

When asked what camber the front end is running.. oh .75 degree neg left and right.. wtf the left looks like its cambered in and the right looks like its positive camber. Can I have a print out.. Oh I've turned the machine off.

Called Pedders at Morphette vale to see if they can squeeze me in. Sure thing. On it goes 0.5neg on the left +.5 on the right. pooofta.. They eye does not lie.

Pedders at Morphette Vale are champs spent 3hrs on the car pulling the coil overs out to adjust the inner bush etc and got it all setup perfect and front wheels actually look as if they have some neg camber now. Best part is they charged me absolutely bugger all. The amount I paid I felt guilty as they spent so much time on it.

Top blokes definitely head down there for work as they love the imports and are true enthusiasts. Be sure to plug SAU just so they know where the word is coming from.

For those that head out to Mallala they do an awesome price on track and then street alignment following the track day.

    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
