Hi Roo...

teaspoon full of cement babe.. LOL!

I would ... if I had a lunch break! :(

Almost finished a few edits on this drawing. Finishing up in about half hour and just going home to knuckle down some CAD drawings for my project ... and complete the wall and floor framing for our house (hope to have the plans for the extension ready for lodgement with Council this week). Also gotta proof read Tracy's assignments.

... don't think I'll be in bed until midnight tonite :ermm:

Right ... this is one problem solved :ermm:

Figured this feature was on SAU somewhere. He's just persistently annoying and I've decided he has nothing intelligent to say. Ahhhh ... bliss

Yeah Luke, apparently got sideswiped... didn't look too good from what I was told and I only saw it seconds before it happened!

As for the RB30 bottom end, I beleive it's out of an Series 2 VL... atleast that's what I remember from my research

    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
    • Looks great, I hope everything is working well after all that time!
