That's a pretty good result, Mitch.

Considering stock standard RB26's will pull between 170kw and 180kw at the rears with the 4WD fuse taken out (R32's) on stock boost (meaning the restrictor still in).

Mine pulled 174.6kw at the rears on stock boost (the GTR still has the stock boost restriction in it! Never been touched), stock turbos, 3 leaking injectors (found that when it was on the dyno), a collapsed centre muffler baffle and a stuffed cat. No ecu mods, no EBC, stock intercooler... only mods are twin Blitz pods. Pretty good result! And the engine is in good condition (170psi across all 6 on a compression test, leak down test proved it's healthy, too).

Once I've replaced the exhaust with a full new system, I'll put it back on the dyno and see what I get. The injectors have already been fixed. My exhaust is that badly clogged, that I can expect to see a large difference (like, 20kw or 30kw extra lol).

Mitch, What do you mean you've modified the coilpacks? If you've ripped out the stock coils and put in Splitfires thinking it'll improve performance... you've wasted your money. Nissan Standard Coilpacks are the best you can buy... Splitfires are a cheaper alternative.

yeah it doesnt really explain itself all that much. you have to determine if the argument is logical. a hint.

All ducks quack

donald is a duck

therefore donald quacks. It states that ALL ducks quack, and Donald is a duck, so it as a valid argument.

I agree steve my mates GT went from 224 at Aussies to 257 at KPM with the addition of underdrive pulleys only :D (which in reality would be 5-10rwkw at the most). Hows your car doing mate got it sorted?

had my car dyno'd at MRE, then 2 months later no more mods done got a reading at KPM that was 20rwkw higher :s

yeah im not saying its a performance mod, its the only thing thats been changed on the motor its self :P

Dyno readout's differ due to different shoot out modes used the amount of brake that is used to simulate road conditions

damo will post my thoughts later when im home about that logics test

Nozila - where did you get defected

mitch, a cop pulled you over and issues that?

yep , pathetic if you ask me but hey, he was nice and liked my car and wasnt out to defect me , just sucks being unemployed at present and having to pay this fine and get new tyres , but oh well

least i can still drive

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
